Parents: Dying Girl, 7, Taunted by Neighbors in Trenton
Updated: Friday, 08 Oct 2010, 7:24 AM EDT Published : Thursday, 07 Oct 2010, 11:56 PM EDT
TRENTON, Mich. - Her family says 7-year-old Kathleen Edward is in the final stages of a degenerative brain disorder diagnosed as Huntington's Disease - the same disease which killed her mother, Laura, when she was only 24.
A neighbor who is feuding with the family admitted to posting grim depictions of Laura and Kathleen on Facebook, and also has a coffin hitched to a pick-up truck in front of the house - which the neighbor says is for a halloween decoration.
One photo depicts Laura in the arms of the grim reaper, while the other features Kathleen's face above a set of crossbones.
Police responded to the public feud Thursday, but no arrests were made.
A rally for Kathleen Edward has been planned for Saturday, Oct. 23 from 3 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Haas Park in Trenton.
The invitation reads: She has been tormented by sadistic neighbors. Please come and join us in showing Kathleen there are good people that care.

or evil...
If by that neighborhood you mean the mortal coil, I agree.

The big question: why would someone do this? Police tell Ron Savage they have been called to this street before, dealing with long-standing “family-feud” issues.
A member of Kathleen’s family says the bad blood started about two-years ago after the two families had a falling out over a birthday party at the Rose house. At the party kids were using a “bounce-house” and playing games in the front yard. The source says that Jennifer Petkov texted someone in the Rose family, asking if her kids could come to the event. A response to the text did not come quickly enough and it angered Jennifer. According to the Rose family, she’s been harassing them ever since.

That sums up the situation very well.
Let us pray for the seven year old girl and her father.
This is Trenton, Michigan, not Trenton, New Jersey. I don’t recall that Washington was ever in the Northwest Territory.
Geeze. Whatever happened to good old-fashion etiquette and courtesy? Like, if the neighbor wants you and/or your kids at her party, she’ll send you an invitation (email, text, whatever). Otherwise, get over it. Too many people these days expect everyone else to divvy up and put up, to the point of being loopy and psycho if they don’t get what they want (and that includes crashing kids’ birthday parties). Gee, there must’ve been a reason the Rose family didn’t invite the neighbor kids, ya think?
I’m not even going to try to wrap my head around that one...or the general direction of this entire thread.
Because her kids wanted to get in the bounce house?????
I think I like the Louie-ville slugger idea or maybe someone should have a bud stand across the street and stare at the crazy liberal troll peoples house for an hour or so a day. You know...the six foot 15in friend that weighs 280lbs, wears size 36 combat boots and has one eyebrow. Everybody has one.
People who see the right in tormenting a dieing child over something as stupid as that can’t be helped but they always get theirs in spades.
Cats are not sentient, they are instinctual animals incapable of morality.
My tomcat Timmy, right here, takes umbrage at the idea he is a bad cat.
I have another male, Buddy, who took out three rats in a single night; Left them all on the stoop for the wife.
If I were technically proficient, I could get the picture off my phone and post it.
