BOWIE, Md. - About 15 people have been treated for illness during a rally featuring President Obama at Bowie State University. Prince George's County Fire and EMS spokesman Mark Brady tells WTOP numerous ambulances have been sent to the rally after people started fainting and became dizzy.
The problems could be related to warmer temperatures today. Brady says crowds at the rally were outside and packed shoulder to shoulder.
Two people have been taken to the hospital so far, Brady says. The rest have been treated at the scene.

Mr Pres’dent, you make more and more of us sick every day.
Smoke inhalation from various sources, including a specially-built event Reichstag someone lit on fire.
The seal falls off the lectern. People get sick at a rally. Omens like this would be all over the news if they happened to our previous president.
Bet they dosed themselves to blame it on ‘others’
That’s really not such a bad theory. Not about the lead poisoning, but freshly printed union posters would have smelly ink that gives off fumes when held in close quarters on a hot day, causing nausea.
UPDATE 3:05 p.m.: O’Malley? Mikulski? That’s not why 20 year old Shealea Steales, a junior from Odenton cut class Thursday afternoon to stand in line for more than 30 minutes at Bowie State.
“I had to,” she said. “I want to hear Obama speak.”
Still, she was willing to wear an O’Malley/Brown sticker and listen to more than an hour of other politicians’ exhortations to get out the vote. “I guess we are her to rally for O’Malley,” she said at the historically black college, one of the nation’s oldest.
Mark Brady, a spokesman for the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department, said five or six people (out of an expected crowd of about 5,000) were treated for their symptoms on the scene, and one was transported to a hospital. He said it remains unclear what is causing people to become ill but “a lot of these people, once they calm down and start getting out of the crowds, they feel a lot better.”
Brady said more EMS personnel have been dispatched to the scene, and a triage area has been set up for those feeling ill. He said he himself was on his way to the rally to get a better understanding of what was going on. Most of his information, he said, came from radio transmissions.

If the symptoms were high blood pressure and/or nausea, it wasn’t the heat. I get those same symptoms every time I see him or hear him on television or the radio.
Maybe Baraq’s “toxic coattails” isn’t just an election term?
Warm temps? I’m here its high 70s for goodness sake. I think they have hope and change disease.
I fall ill every time I hear his voice.
No seal?
I know they are holding cameras, but to me the scene is reminiscent of a NAZI rally and salute.
” No seal? “
CAUTION: Do not use if seal is broken or missing!!
The carneys who take his freak show on the road are still trying to repair it.
Yep. )bama is simply repulsive.
Yeah, people always collapse when it’s in the low 70s.
Hey, you took the words right off my keyboard.
