Donald Trump 'seriously' considering running for president in 2012

Donald Trump said today he's "seriously" considering running for the presidency in 2012.

"For the first time in my life, I'm actually thinking about it [running for president]," Trump told Fox News Channel. He added, "I see what's going on with this country and it's never been worse. What's happening is a disgrace."

"The Apprentice" host cited what he called the "unfair" trade relationship between America and China and the administration's inability to utilize the country's top business talent in trade negotiations as his main reasons for mulling a run.

"I love this country, we have a great country ... but it's not really great like it used to be. Let's face it, we are no longer respected the way we used to be respected, and if we keep going like this, within 10 years China is going to overtake us easily," Trump said.

When asked the crucial question -- what party he would choose to run for -- the mogul said, "I'm a Republican, so if I did anything I'd do it, I guess, as a Republican."

I thought I heard him once say that he couldn’t take the pay cut.

If he turned the government into the apprentice where he started firing useless civil servants on national television I’d certainly back him.

The Baraqqis need a credible independent in the race to to pull off a Clintonian plurality win in 012. I figured if Crist won in Florida, the media would start gushing over him as a possibility. But I think Charlie is sunk, so the search goes on.

Trump (and Bloomberg) does not have much “man in the street” appeal like Perot had.

Time for The Donald to get a new comb-over style.

Just yesterday didn’t he say he knew nothing about and had nothing to do with the poll being conducted in NH on just this possibility?

You have your members of the circus wrong.

The three ring circus would be Mitt-Witt, Trump and Huckster the Shuckster

I heard Trump on both Fox and MSNBC this morning. What he said was “I am thinking about running, but I probably won’t”.

With our president retreating into the fetal position, I think just the first of several candidate buses is pulling up now. It should be quite a show!

Romney and Ron Paul will be a joke.

Trump might be interesting.

John Bolton, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

I think it’s a great idea that he run. We need someone who knows something, anything, about economics, management, negotiating. Trump is an expert on all of them. What we don’t need is another Harvard-educated lawyer.

I sense a big-time RINO in Donald Trump but I can sympathize with his concern for the county. Too bad he never seems to criticize the people in charge, Obama and the Democrats. I don’t see Trump getting anywhere with his presidential aspirations.

Bloomberg is a liberal - he only ran on the R ticket to follow Rudy. You cannot compare Trump w/Bloomberg - one is for the Ground Zero mosque and one isn’t and one is speaking out against this administration and one isn’t.

Perot, MrChicken.

Folks, I kinda like The Donald....on The Apprentice and such.

But seriously, no President of the United States will ever, not ever, HAVE THAT HAIR!

Nothing would ever get done for the world mockery of it.

Think about it.
