The so-called progressive movement will be holding what one wag called the One Nation Working Together to Save the Democrats' Majority Rally today from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. EDT at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The mainstream media won't tell you, but can read about the communists, socialists, anti-Israel and terrorist supporting groups behind the rally here
Astroturf? The unions and the NAACP are giving free bus rides to tens of thousands of attendees, free t-shirts, free lunches and even free flags.
C-SPAN will be covering the rally live beginning at 12 p.m. EDT. Click here to find the live link or watch on C-SPAN 1.
They not only want to attend these ivy league bastions of socialism to get their PHD’s so they can “rule” the rest of us unwashed masses, they also want we the great unwashed to PAY FOR IT!
The crowd is getting louder for the deaf guy! lol
Have anyone else noticed how rude this crowd is to their own speakers? At the 8/28 rally, you could almost hear a pin drop when people were talking...
I have wasted my whole day watching this and reading blogs - I now have only one question. What was the whole point of this event?
I think those may be from the Bush era. It says in the caption, “Anti-war Rally”
Berea College is distinctive among institutions of higher learning. Founded in 1855 as the first interracial and coeducational college in the South, Berea charges no tuition and admits only academically promising students, primarily from Appalachia, who have limited economic resources. Bereas cost of educating a student exceeds $23,000 per year.
Berea offers rigorous undergraduate academic programs leading to Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in 28 fields. All students work at least 10 hours per week in campus and service jobs in more than 130 departments.
The College has an inclusive Christian character, expressed in its motto “God has made of one blood all peoples of the Earth.” Berea’s primary service region is the Southern Appalachian region, but students come from all states in the U.S. and in a typical year, from more than 60 other countries representing a rich diversity of colors, cultures, and faiths. About one in three students represents an ethnic minority.
Berea continues to build upon a distinctive history of 150 years of learning, labor and service, and find new ways to apply our mission (the Great Commitments) to contemporary times by promoting kinship among all people, serving communities in Appalachia and beyond and living sustainably to conserve limited natural resources.
Something is coming down the pike regarding college tuition, I just know it. This is today’s talking point that higher education is a *right*
to gather all the ugly people in one place and demonstrate to the country that they have put these idiots in charge
It’s JJ time!
Take it up with their fat, tenured, universities sitting on huge trusts!
The point of this rally was to counter Glenn Beck to say, “Nanny nanny boo boo we can do it too!”
“We will not be divided and turned against one another” as he talks of needing more race specific opportunities?
BLT Jackson!
