More U.S. territory being ceded to Mexico?
No, not in this instance. The problem is that the lake is on an international boundary. The boundary is controlled by a bi-lateral commission, and the Mexicans have veto power over what we do. Both governments could and should jointly police that lake. Or the Mexicans should agree that we do it. They know it is hotbed of drug smuggling, and all they have done is warn the law-abiding of both countries to say away, instead of going in there and asserting authority. And this has been going on for some time. This could easily be remedied if there was a will to do so.
More of the "protection" of U.S. citizens by warning them to stay away from Mexico, while at the same time doing NOTHING about Mexicans coming into the U.S. and committing crimes.
If the same thugs who shot this guy while skidooing with his wife were gunned down for crossing into U.S. waters by a couple of white guys the Left would be in full whine about how horrible and racist it was and the shooters must be crucified.
Insanity is absolutely the rule of the day.
