An early VW wagon could get 65 MPG so big deal. The Mobile economy run had cars get regularly over 1000 MPG. I get less than 14 MPG in my 2007 Serra and I am not complaining. My complaints are that the Government takes money on a gas tax to “fix the roads” and use it for anything else. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. We are exiting the corrupt state and entering the absolute phase.

that VW did not have all the required safety features and very few creature comforts demanded today.

BTW something is wrong if you are only getting 14 mpg in your Sierra. We have two and they get well over 18.
