Sometimes the RCC crowd attempts to link these circus-like religionists to the message for which the Reformers argued. They associate all non-Catholics as believing the same thing. But, we who hold to the biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ like to periodically remind them that because the grandstanders err on one side, as Catholicism errs on the other, we don't embrace their nonsense any more than we acknowledge the nonsense from Rome.
Right, the Catholics did it.
What then accounts for the second post on this thread, a post made by YOU?
More evidence that the dynamic, Spirit-directed, multi-gifted, prophetic, and excited men of god are just a bunch of Elmer Gantrys on steroids. This junk is no more the Gospel than Catholicism.
NOTHING had been said about Catholicism until YOU brought it up. So, perhaps the "circus-like" attempt was actually YOUR attempt to switch to your beloved anti-Catholicism.
They associate all non-Catholics as believing the same thing.
So, Baptists aren't "real" Christians any more? Is this a recent development or does it only apply to Baptists who happen to be black? (Because THAT wouldn't surprise me at all.)
Where are all the threads posted prior to a couple weeks ago suggesting that Eddie Long isn't a "real" Christian?
To we believers, anything other than the Gospel is essentially the same thing. It is really difficult to discern the individual heresies developed during the various generations after the Reformation. Most of us simply don't bother except for the major ones. Kinda like deciding to deal with the poisonous spiders before dealing with the midges.
But, we who hold to the biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ like to periodically remind them that because the grandstanders err on one side, as Catholicism errs on the other, we don't embrace their nonsense any more than we acknowledge the nonsense from Rome.
Your bunch does not hold to the biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ. You guys preach to us surgically excised snippets of Paul and Isaiah. We preach the Gospel unashamedly and perhaps a little too loudly for many.
