I recall he also used a whip on the money changers and kicked over their tables. He did. He showed righteous anger at sin. He was not passive. Christians have been lied to that anger is a sin. It is not. Jesus became angry and He didn't sin. Sin happens when anger is misused in a way that is not Godly.
