What do you think “self-righteous” means?

Here’s what my Synonym Finder says it means:

Righteous in one’s own esteem, sanctimonious, pharisaic, smug, puritannical, hypocritical, pietistical, unctuous, insincere, etc.

So any criticism of homosexuality is wrong, then? Since pointing out that it is wrong exhibits “self-righteousness” (not sure which meaning) to you? In fact, pointing it out is worse than practicing and promoting same sex sodomy?
