Stossel is right about many young people being so ignorant about politics that they shouldn’t vote. I’m in my late 20s and many people in my age group who are otherwise bright, successful, and productive members of society know absolutely nothing about politics.

I have a couple young relatives and they shun politics because it is contentious and they have been taught to avoid disputes ... of any kind.

They have no “good times” off which they can compare what we have now to what things used to be. Lord knows schools do not teach any history at least history favorable to the US. They prefer to aggrandize powers which sought to control the world by liberal domination.
