As has been used so many times lately, your post was like the pot calling the kettle black.
When you put your words into ‘print’, as is done when posting, your ‘credibility’ is often measured by the ONLY THING at hand, and that is your written word.
You can write and spell any way you want to, but you do have to deal with what ends up on your post.
Given this is a vanity, your ‘professionalism’ as a ‘journalist’ is not an issue. I do think you should be aware that whatever the reason you ‘shorted’ on the grammar, it can hamper communication.
I think that is what humblegunner was trying to get across.
