Notice that Hussien’s poll numbers have been really dropping since he started in the campaign mode about a month ago. The more he campaigns, the lower the polls. People are disagreeing with him and they are turning on him. He, is doubling down with his views. People are seeing this and they too are doubling down with the polls.
Obama’s polls number nearly always drop when he gets more exposure now. Its been that way for many months. I think you are right, Independents are finally sick of the guy. Over-exposed, and as much as he talks, he really says nothing.

I think as the campaign draws closer, the numbers are more carefully quantified. More polling, more workers, a larger sampling.
It also helps that he has been “snarky” with people when they disagree. Lot of information coming out, Moochelle taking trips, the justice department.
