This is what I wanted to say and what I wanted to hear on the national stage...
The Pledge is a good start. It’s a starting point.
Yes, I was one of many that were disappointed that it didn’t go far enough...What we needed to hear from the national voices is that they don’t see this as the end, but the beginning - the means to an end.
And I would also say that it has to be working...For all their jabs at the Pledge, the Dems have still retreated or at least know not to push forward on the Obama Tax Hikes...
Dems get in trouble when they govern on their principles.
Reps get in trouble when they don’t.
Don’t know what a Dem version of the pledge would say that wouldn’t contradict how they behave in power - exposing the lie.
