Ann Coulter doesn't mince words. And even when speaking to a gay conservative organization, GOProud, at their inaugural Homocon party on Saturday night, she apparently wasn't willing to start.
After a series of jokes about conservative that sounded -- and were received -- more like a stand-up act then a political speech, Coulter told the assembled (and predominantly wealthy) conservative gay crowd why they should oppose same sex marriage, adding, "I should warn you: I've never failed to talk gays out of gay marriage."
And then she did.
First, she ran down the stereotypical stand-up comedian's list of reasons, including that lacking the legal right to marriage allows the less-committed partner to weasel out of it. But in a more serious note, she parroted the losing arguments of the lawyers supporting California's Prop 8 and told the crowd that the reason she opposes (and they should oppose) same sex marriage is that it is strictly for procreation.
In one of a series of racially insensitive remarks that pervaded her speech, Coulter added, "Marriage is not a civil right. You're not black." It was part of a larger argument on which she later elaborated, telling the crowd that the 14th Amendment only applies to African-Americans and that it does not, in fact, apply to women, LGBT people or other minorities.

What would be the point of joining GOProud as they have a homosexual agenda? Someone that's chaste wouldn't be interested in "domestic partner" issues. So the premise is flawed.

Thank you for posting this.
I thought she might say something like this. Glad to read it.

I don’t. But anyone who endeavors to legitimize homosexuality is an unrepentant sinner as they don’t recognize the sin.
Woe to those Christians who aid and abet them in that endeavor.

Someone please help. For the life of me I cannot find a single thing Ann Coulter said to be racially insensitive. She talked about the 14th amendment applying only to blacks and black people agree with that. In no stretch of the imagination has it ever applied to gays. So what "race" is she being insensitive towards?
Step one: Announce you will take the gay group’s $ and get hated on by conservatives (boosting profile).
Step two: Go to gay group’s event and tell them they are wrong to be gay and get hated on (boosting profile).
Step three: sell books, speaking engagements, political endorsements, and whatever else while charging more due to boosted profile from various controversy.
Man that women is a genius. All she needs now is a circa 1998 sex tape.
Don't worry, I have the tape Ann and I made that weekend we spent in Las Vegas locked securely away, and I won't release it...;)
the 14th amendment only applies to blacks?
so due process doesn't apply to white people? sorry Ann but you lost me there.
And woe to divide-and-conquer shills who think bible-thumping generalities will split the conservative focus on the Constitution - the day you will stare at your own pathetic smallness is barrelling down upon ye as a train of Freight, yeah, verily I say unto you who would cry down upon the united conservatives and cry sinner, sinner, that you should take the giant paid-for Leftist trained shill mountain-range of fractured galcier ice out of thine single smashed stupid eyeball, before thouest cursest and damnest the leastest-mostest conservative, even one the size of a hydrogen atom a thousand parsecs past Alpha Centari.
Generally, due process guarantees the following (this list is not exhaustive):
- Right to a fair and public trial conducted in a competent manner
- Right to be present at the trial
- Right to an impartial jury
- Right to be heard in one's own defense
- Laws must be written so that a reasonable person can understand what is criminal behavior
- Taxes may only be taken for public purposes
- Property may be taken by the government only for public purposes
- Owners of taken property must be fairly compensated
That being said (and set in sand), the "series of racially insensitive remarks" only exist in the mind of the author and those that choose to sycophantize about her.
"...that weekend we spent in Las Vegas locked securely away..."How'd you get out?
Too much caffeine?
What I stated has absolutely nothing to do with politics.
Ann's comment, "Marriage is not a civil right. You're not black" was not only NOT insensitive, it was very sensitive in the favor of black folks, and other racial minorities, who should not have to tolerate being compared the pervert minorities on account of their skin color.
Ann Coulter has brilliantly taken identity politics and turned it on its ear.
I'm beginning to think she's one of the greatest performance artists of the era if not of all time.
