Could Maher be more tacky? I hope Ann Coulter (well, she couldn’t care less) and others will see this incredibly classless fool for what he is and that the only guests he’ll be able to get are Garafolous (or however her stupid name is) and her ilk.
Does anybody watch him? I mean besides his mother.
I hope that Christine has enough backbone to refuse. I have no fundamental objection to an appearance on Maher's show, but I do when it comes to blackmail and similar threats. As for evolution, I wish our schools would teach the kids to question science, all science. Without that attitude, Einstein might never have questioned something as obvious - and imperfect - as Newton's laws.
The only person I know who actually watches Bill Maher’s show is a rabid socialist who has a picture of the won, and his family on display.
A candidate’s knowledge of, opinion of or belief in the theory of evolution is irrelevant in comparison to their knowledge of, respect for and determination to uphold the Constitution as a guide in their probable voting habits.
The only thing that matters is how O’Donnell would vote compared to the others. By that criterion the choice is simple. All this other “stuff” is irrelevant.
You know it’s a weak attack when they don’t put the actual details in the headline, the way they did with the witchcraft snip.
Darwin has been forced down everyone’s throats by Darwinist politicians and activist judges, while the Bible has been thrown out of our schools. But it is only a theory, and as a theory it has grown increasingly less convincing over the years as new facts have come out.
Darwin, Marx, and Freud. Darwin has persisted longest, but undeservedly. He will go, too, as his brainwashers gradually lose influence.
As a Catholic, I have nothing against Evolution as such. But as someone who majored in physics and has an interest in science, I find the General Theory of Evolution by pure chance—as opposed to small-scale intraspecies evolution—simply unconvincing.
Andrew Bretbart was on Maher last nite and kicked ass.
Maher is definitely one of those that has been duped.
Aren't all "scientific findings" called "theory"? For instance, has any scientist proved the "theory of relativity" wrong yet? Are there any scientists working on a "theory" of their own that might replace it as a better explanation of what is happening? Will the theory of relativity stay in place as "the best explanation" until another scientist's theory is found to be a better explanation?
That’s why it’s called a THEORY!! They might as well say “HOPE”.....we HOPE there is evolution because we are ATHEISTS!!
Maher doesn’t make Coons any more appealing. He apparently doesn’t have a problem with those who “dabble” in Marxism.
1. Maher isn’t doing this to shock conservatives. He is doing it to change the narrative. Why do we let it work?
2. Notice the AP framing: Maher takes a “jab” at O’Donnell. Imagine the spitstorm if someone had taken “jabs” at Obama during his campaign. I think they are called something else when republicans do it.
3. Who cares what was said 15 years ago on a show that staged arguments for theatrical purposes? Seriously.
Yeah. Stupid statement. Give me a choice between a conservative and a creationist, and I'll choose the conservative. But give me a choice between a creationist and a RINO, or a creationist and a "bearded Marxist," and I'll vote for the creationist all day long.
Antievolutionism is irritatingly inane, and a doctrine invariably packed with misinformation, disinformation, or outright lies. But ultimately it's a self-limiting stupidity which thus presents no real threat to my liberty. Leftism is an unlimited stupidity which threatens liberty at every turn. It's no contest.
Well, when I heard about this clip from the execrable Maher I knew this thread would “devolve” into an evolution thread.
I always get sad when conservatives rail against science, in this case, evolution. Especially when its possible to reconcile faith in a living God with science — God chose evolution as the mechanism for for his creation just as He chose the Big Bang to initiate the universe. God gave us brains and the ability to reason so that we would know what could be known. I learned this in my Catholic education. I remain a deeply devout woman and have no problem with God as my King in my soul and heart and be able to keep Reason with my brain.
O’Donnell sounds unbelievably ignorant on this clip. When she asked why monkeys aren’t evolving today I buried my face in my hands. It’s embarrassingly dumb. While I’m grateful to her for knocking out RINO Castle, she is a very flawed candidate who has said very goofy things over the years and you can bet the mud-slinging Left is going to use her as an example of what the whole Tea Party is to try and scare independents. It’s not good but I guess we’ll ride it out.
