Just the other day, had 3 bicyclists in front of me, all abreast in a 35 mph zone, aware I was behind them and refused to go single file.
Took a risk and passed them on the double yellow.
Pompous, selfrighteous JERKS.
I live in the world’s capital of this breed of idiots. Western Boston Suburbs. Un-friggin’ real. Martha’s Vineyard is actually worse, but any place you have a lot of folks who only get on a bike two weeks in year, you’ll have problems.
Guy at work has been in numerous car-bike accidents - never, ever his fault! He’s about 60 and all busted up but he still goes out and asks for more. The odd thing is, he’s overweight and out of shape from all that down time. There’s plenty of stationary bikes in the gym, ya know.

I’m an avid cyclist and have a position on this. I have been part of such a group in the past, however, it was always when there were no cars. When we saw a car coming up behind us (someone would yell “car back”) we would revert to single file. Sometimes we would miss the car and they would come up and honk. We would get into single file as quick as we could.
Guys that just don’t move really need to be bumped from behind by your car bumper. Just a nice nudge. But make sure you brake immediately after you nudge them just in case they go down. You just want to scare the hell out of them, not actually run them over.
Make sure you clean your windshield as you pass.
Pass them, slow down (so they have to shift) speed up slightly, slow down, speed up.
If only you had a diesel pickup.
Very dangerous, there's a lot of road rage out there.
