They could have saved this guy if they had only acted sooner. It is the fault of Obama, Reid and Pelosi.
I've had way more near death experiences with tree roots and rocks than with cars. Mountain biking can be downright terrifying sometimes.
You think maybe God was trying to tell this guy “Hey Fool! Stay OFF the bikes!”????
Didnt they make a bunch of movies with this as the plot? Man escapes death only to die later
I live in the world’s capital of this breed of idiots. Western Boston Suburbs. Un-friggin’ real. Martha’s Vineyard is actually worse, but any place you have a lot of folks who only get on a bike two weeks in year, you’ll have problems.
Guy at work has been in numerous car-bike accidents - never, ever his fault! He’s about 60 and all busted up but he still goes out and asks for more. The odd thing is, he’s overweight and out of shape from all that down time. There’s plenty of stationary bikes in the gym, ya know.
Yep. There's enough hot headed Gomers in cars the way it is. No need to antagonize them. I quit riding with one guy because he refused to stay right.
This reminds me of people in relatively late model cars that have dents in every corner of the car. They should not be driving.
It may be that this is a person that simply did not have the spacial reasoning and hand eye coordination skills necessary to safely control a bicycle.
Or it could be an amazing coincidence.
“Bike Rage”, but you won’t see that term anywhere because I coined it.
>>The sad part is that you guys think you are humorous.<<
Some do. I did.
Reminds me of that country song:
Some girls don’t like guys like me. Ah, but some girls do.
>>Just the other day, had 3 bicyclists in front of me, all abreast in a 35 mph zone, aware I was behind them and refused to go single file.<<
I’m an avid cyclist and have a position on this. I have been part of such a group in the past, however, it was always when there were no cars. When we saw a car coming up behind us (someone would yell “car back”) we would revert to single file. Sometimes we would miss the car and they would come up and honk. We would get into single file as quick as we could.
Guys that just don’t move really need to be bumped from behind by your car bumper. Just a nice nudge. But make sure you brake immediately after you nudge them just in case they go down. You just want to scare the hell out of them, not actually run them over.
Install train horns on your vehicle.
Approach from behind, lay on the horns.

Awesome!
Neighbor of mine has something similar to a Leslie 7 chime on his truck.
Someone decided to pull out in front of him, after all “He’d stop for me”.
*HROOOOOOOOOONK!*
I’ve never seen a Honda fly off the road in a panic that fast before.
I am more concerned with the guys in the ambulance, they see this stuff everyday, but to actually be involved might be rough.
You’ve noticed that, too?
I’ll bet you live in Oregon. We’ve got more than our fair share of arrogant cyclists.
No... sadly, that would be me, I'm afraid. USA Cycling, the national governing body for the sport is based here in Colorado Springs. Between that and the Olympic Training Center, also based here, everyone and their dog thinks they are Lance Armstrong, and are convinced that they own the roads.
They will all be out in force come rush hour, furiously trying to force their scrawny little legs up the steep hills in town, backing up traffic for miles.
Long Beach, CA The city officials came up with a bright idea. They painted a green strip @5’ across and it runs the length of a busy 4 lane street, 2nd St. Naples area, that is in the middle of the outside lane, with parked cars along the curb. It’s marked for cyclist.
These morons on beach cruiser bikes ride double down the strip while cars swerve around them. It’s only a matter of time before they end up like this guy.
You don't need a parachute to skydive.
You need a parachute to skydive twice!
My uncle took up skydiving once.
Without a parachute.
He never did THAT again.
