This comes from a Vegas paper, so I'll summarize:
Day 1 of the inquest into the police shooting of Eric Scott at a Las Vegas Costco emphasized the large amount of prescription painkillers found in his body. The assistant DA suggested Scott was suicidal.
Day 2 apparently spent a bunch of time explaining why there will be no video...basically, the machines weren't working, sorry.
Then the cop who was closest to Scott testified. In his testimony, he says the gun found by investigators was in its holster, and that he didn't realize the gun was in its holster when he shot Scott. That info comes about 2/3 of the way into the article:

Las Vegas Metro is utterly corrupt, where else does a police officer of the law have a stripper as wife and have it seen as “normal” behavior.
They have open jails with no cells. How would you like to be a guard in that jail??
That has got to be one of the worst pictures of a LEO I have seen in a long time. I wonder how many their photographer took until they got one that made him look that awful.
That’s OK. Thanks. Appreciate you wrote that in post #102.
Must have been the reason he died. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Concealed carry permits require that the gun be CONCEALED. They cannot be in plain sight.

Agreed.
He looks like Curly from The Three Stooges.
Tennessee issues ‘Carry Permits’ so anywhere the weapon is is legal WITH the permit. You can still carry a weapon unloaded in your vehicle or on your person without a permit, but laoded requires a permit. Yes, it’s not Constitutionally correct, but who’s gonna challenge it witht he risk that even that permit gets revoked?
Like I said in our last conversation, I regard cops as I do soldiers ... it is going to take more than a regrettable outcome for me to broadly condemn. For others here, even the regrettable outcome is not required for a knee-jerk condemnation.

The problem with LV is that no officer has been found at fault in a shooting since 1976. And there have been a lot of murders by cops. The LV mayor is a mob lawyer. You should see what NV freepers say about LV.
The hard drive has been truned in by COSTCO and has been checked by the perp’s experts. The machine stopped working two days before the event and was restrated during the event probably by the same person who left it off and called for servicing it when it malfunctioned. The smell of ‘lynch the pigs’ is growing stronger at FR. Sheesh ...
See post 111. And ask a Las Vegas freeper about the corrupt police force. It ain’t pretty.
Get real, you’re now pleading guilt by association. Sheesh
In this case the cop killed an innocent soldier - a West Point graduate. Now what are you going to do?
Excuse me? You think the Las Vegas freepers were all lying about the corruption?
Yes.
Doc, does the chart at this post make sense?
If it is true drew a gun and pointed it at the cops (holster or not), I don’t care if he was General Patton.

See #89 for interesting info.
