From the article on possible replacements for Rahm that you linked to:

“In Mr. Obama’s case, the administration’s groupthink is more subtle. Talk to any senior White House aide, and you will hear the same essential narrative of the past 18 months — how President George W. Bush and his Wall Street friends bequeathed to Mr. Obama crises of unforeseen proportions, how Republicans tried to derail efforts to address them, how none of the president’s predicaments are of his own making. Even when they acknowledge missteps, Mr. Obama’s aides tend to see them, to borrow a legal term, as fruit of the poisonous tree — that is, missteps that would not have occurred were it not for the misery they inherited.”

Subtle? If that's the way they want to see it.

This group in the WH is foolish enough, it seems, to believe their own press releases. And if you think this WH is dysfunctional now, just wait until after Rahm leaves.

it’ll be interesting to watch. I think Rahm left because he simply doesn’t have the strength to hold the White House together with the Obama’s running amok and not really trying. Without his cronies to keep him in check, Obama will fall apart.
