Jimmy Carter Says US More Polarized Than During Civil War
Republican redefined ^ | 9-21-10 | By T. CHRISTOPHER

In day where Jimmy Carter stole headlines for referring to his own tenure post-presidency as “superior” to that of other presidents, I thought it was somewhat disappointing that his real mind-bender was seemingly overlooked – even though it came in the very same interview as his other absolutely ridiculous comments. Remarking on the “state” of the United States, after being asked by Brian Williams if he views it as “glass half-full or half-empty”, Carter said he thought President Obama suffers from a Washington that has become more polarized than it was during the time of Abraham Lincoln and the “initiation of the ‘war between the states.’”

“This country has become so polarized that its almost astonishing…. Not only with the red and blue states… President Obama suffers from the most polarized situation in Washington that we have ever seen – even maybe than the time of Abraham Lincoln and the initiation of the war between the states.”

"What is a "prolly?" Is that a kid's rap term? "

It's a substitute for the word "probably."
Why do people use the ridiculous non-word "prolly"?

1) They don't know of the word "probably" and how to use it.
2) They don't how to spell the word "probably" so they don't use it.
3)They think they are being cool or cute in a literary way and that will impress someone.
4) They are too lazy to spell the word "probably".

Those are my guesses.

If you look at marxist regimes in the last 100 years, those who sided with Marx, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Clinton or Obama you would see over 150 million real workers killes by their own governments to benefit the looters and government thieves. The Obama numbers have not been added because he has not caused them just yet. But, it cannot be agued that us freedom loving and small business owners are the next on the list for the hatred crowd.

Even a blind pig roots up an acorn now and then.

But Jimmy should know all about polarization, divisiveness, identity group resentment and class envy. After all, he and his fellow democrats have been working hard and long to keep the nation divided.

Unlikely. The splits in the churches over slavery began occurring 25 years prior to the Civil War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Baptist_Convention)

While relations between northern and southern polite classes became pretty frosty during the run up to “late unpleasantness,” war became inevitable once the political leadership class in the South (dominated as it was by wealthy slave owners) convinced themselves that Lincoln's election was a harbinger of the immediate end to slavery.

Also keep in mind that the militia movement of the 1850s in both northern and southern states created the standing bodies of troops needed to get the war started. More importantly, the militia movement trained the state bureaucracies on how to rapidly raise, train, and equip forces for service in the field. This would be critical in prolonging the conflict.

**Or, maybe he’s an old, washed up idiot.**

Which would make sense as he has been a middle aged, washed up idiot for some time now.

Right before the WBTS, the churches began to split over slavery...the churches are splitting again...this time it's over homosexuality and other social issues...could this be a sign of things to come?...there may be some truth is what Carter says.

You're right.

Let's face it, we cannot live next to these people in peace any more than we can live next to rabid dogs or serial killers.

People of good character can't live with them, because their very existence is defined by violating everything decent.

We must separate from them first. Then, commence to destroy them.

How would that fossilized piece of rat turd know how polarized things were in the Civil War?

But we are polarized, and we should be. Hard times are coming.

I didn’t say it was correct. LOL

Shortened version of “probably”. Typically used in online conversations, although REALLY lazy people have started using it in verbal conversations as well...
I’m feeling lazy so I prolly won’t bother doing homework.

There will never be a war fought like that again until after a worse war destroys all civilization and forces mankind to start over in the stone age.

Bombs, missiles, satellites, and modern telecommunications ensure that wars are won and lost way before it comes to civil war style shootin matches.

Obama has split the nation. At least half, and hopefully more, still prefer capitalism. Perhaps Jimmah hasn’t notice the marxists are running the show, hellbent on destroying capitalism. Oh yea, we’re split Jimmah.

BTW, the other half we must defeat are progressive socialist democrats serving in congress, bottom feeders who feed on the taxes paid by capitalists. Plus hundreds of thousands of govt bureaucrats, and NGEs sucking up tax dollars like there is no tomorrow. Not to forget union thugs, and more.

I will sleep on that premise, but I can think of at least one scenario where it could be brother against brother, rifle against cannon, etc.... again.

Two scenarios, now that I've had a moment of typing to process it.

It would have to be a civil war in CONUS. The federal military would have to sit it out to wait for lawful civilian authority to stand up. Or EMP gifts from the turd world would have us back to incredibly accurate black powder firearms and field arty.

Yes, it is polarized to the extent that half of the country would vote for Stalin and Lenin if given the chance.

It would be kinder not to publish Carter’s senile mumblings.

But it is not senile, the ramblings are mostly evil lies.
