Here's what's rich about the continuing back-and-forth between Karl Rove and Christine O'Donnell: The most significant concern about O'Donnell is the argument that conservatives should ignore qualifications and personal flaws as long as a candidate checks the right ideological boxes. Well, what candidate benefited from that calculus more than Rove's pet project George W. Bush?

We passed "silly" about 2 hours after the nomination was settled. It is now in the "disgusting sabotage" stage. My feelings for Rove and the rest of the RINO circus are not post-able on Free Republic.
Will do..sorry about the mistake
They turn into steers.
Says Misses Bush?
lol...
Lets just ignore the GOP frauds and liars running the GOP...
Ted Kennedy
Always has been. Always will be.
It's just too bad that it took 9 lo-ong years for conservatives to figure it out.
Please don't forget to defeat the statist Republican cabal while you're at it.
Remember. All the ills facing this country were brought about by Democrats and Republicans.
Both are dirty. Both need to be thrown out with the bath-water.
By '02, I remember Rush literally apologizing for that. Daily, he'd get the yahoo Bushbots calling in all upset.
Then, he got in all that trouble and totally sold out. He bought Specter on his show the day of the '04 primary and Mr. "I Don't Do Interviews!" actually brought Karen Hughes on to plug her book. GAG! In fact, I read he had Rove on recently.
He acts all independent again. But he jumped the shark and lost all conservative cred long ago.
This was a really good post by Mr. Antle.
California Republicans by and large stay conservative because of the gerrymandered districts here.
B1 Bob never went soft. Tom McClintock never will either.
If the Texas Republicans are hanging out with California Democrats, that is more a smear on Texas Republicans.
Well first they move to Texas and claim to be Texan, then they run against the Eastern Establishment to win, then they return to their roots.
Transfer that same computational power to ascertaining votes. That is, using the intersection of sets applied to voting districts across the nation, it is straightforward enough to construct what issues should be declared and what sides to be taken to glean, that is harvest, the required amount of votes to win the district. As some insightful FR attendee once suggested call it "vote farming."
Karl Rove is a bright fellow and is the virtual guru of vote farming. "They" know how you will vote depending on the poster presented before you. And that poster is constructed by virtue of set theory.
But is that how we want to determine the managers of our nation, the politicians? That is, if we are a set of juveniles who want an unabridged allowance to indulge our whims as juveniles, do we want parents who will grant us every indulgence?
Karl Rove has made himself important through the mathematical logic of vote farming, declaring no resort whatsoever to conscious human responsibilities. This is obvious by the total denial of any recent political candidate to declare the necessity of citizen sacrifice, discipline, or responsibility; and that includes GWB.
In historical terms Karl Rove is the same Machiavellian manipulator as the Left. Indeed that is the essential definition of the Left.
Once understood the extraordinary self-centeredness of the Washington DC elites becomes crystal clear. These really really are people who are not interested in our mature development as responsible citizens, but rather those interested in their own self importance. We have said this succinctly through the tagline below; and through the Tea Party will repeat it over and over while there is still hope for human dignity.
Johnny Suntrade
I don't think it's silly. It's very serious, and I'm glad this is all happening, even if it is right before the election.
It's important because Rove and others are setting themselves up for a divorce from the Republican Party.
It's looking like THEY are going to be the third party, not us.
More power to them, and GOOD RIDDENCE!
Well first they move to Texas and claim to be Texan, then they run against the Eastern Establishment to win, then they return to their roots.Funny you should say that because that's exactly what happened to California.
And this is precisely why Rove and all the rest of the professional manipulator are so upset with the outcome of the Castle - O'Donnell race: they failed miserably.
In fact, for at least the past 15 years the left has seen its ability to manipulate the electorate deteriorate with every death (or placement on life support) of another big city newspaper. Their very mission is to prove (mostly to themselves) that they still wield the kind of influence that can get even the slimiest Democrat elected or re-elected. Their success in getting a thoroughly unqualified "community organizer" elected President of the United States should have gratified them, but they know that that "victory" was a cheap, hollow one because the race had been ceded by a tired GOP before it even began. The joy of the left was short lived as they looked around and saw no glimmers of the schaedenfreud they longed for.
So now the left finds itself enjoying(?) the company of Karl Rove and Charles Krauthammer, and before them, Kathleen Parker and Peggy Noonan, as they all see their legendary influence dissipate like a morning fog.
Screw them all, and hallalejuah, the American citizenry is waking up at last. Thank God for the new media of talk radio, 24-hour cable news, and the internet.
You know, I’ll bet a lot of folks don’t know what that is.
You have a good memory for embarrassing facts about Mr. Limbaugh that are seldom discussed in these here parts. Of course it was a heady time for a lot of righteous friends of the Bushes. Hell yes, some even stayed overnight in ol Lincoln’s bedroom and had regular special invites for special confabs about special stuff and other special things. It was truly a very special time.
They’d know if it was applied to them.
For the first hour or so.
O'Donnell needs to focus on the issues and Coons's Marxism and forget the dogs biting at the heels of her caravan. If O'Donnell wastes time answering her critics, then she's walking right into the trap they're hoping she'll fall into--talking about them instead of the compelling issues of this campaign on which she could build a compelling case for her candidacy. Ignore the yappers and focus on what Americans care about.
There's no divorce coming among the GOP. It's just a healthy internal debate.
You may be right, where would Karl go?
