What he posted is an edit of what I said. I clearly pointed out that is dishonest and usually considered bad form in a discussion.
I posted ....Republicans come off as weak kneed once again imo. Fear of the school sysytem using such garbage is sickening, but it should be fought on every level....and he didn't like it.
We are NOT afraid of the school system.
If it makes you feel better than others to keep repeating that mantra, there’s no stopping you.
But it is wrong and will not go unchallenged.
If we were afraid of the school system, we wouldn’t have defied it and homeschooled.
So, granted you’re not a teacher or employed by the system.
Which family member(s) then?
You aren’t doing anything to *fix* the system with your solutions.
Doing something to fix the system requires action and hard work like running for school board and getting on it, contacting your representatives and making your voice heard, proposing legislation and working to get it passed.
Your do nothing approach of *empowering the children* (liberal speak if I ever heard it) is useless and meaningless. Having a child walk out of classroom will accomplish nothing. It will fix nothing. It’s merely damage control.
We can see that even if you can’t.
Delude yourself if you think that’s really accomplishing something, just like you’re deluding yourself into thinking that you can send your child to public schools for 12 years and undo the damage done there.
Your use of the word "fear" is unclear. Are you saying conservatives (do you consider yourself one, BTW - hard to tell, since you condemned us for "far, far right" opinions?) are "afraid" of the school system and that this fear is sickening? That people should not be afraid that this promotion of pervesion will infect their children? Or what?
Maybe you explain exactly what you mean, it is not clearly stated.
