Besides, what I find most telling is your total silence in condemning this measure. All you’ve done is defend the public school system and attack homeschoolers

You're wrong. Being defensive seemed more important to a few of you than reading what I posted. Correction, first you took the offense, then defense.

Lets just understand you all can complain from the outside looking in to your hearts content.

I, and millions others try to fix the system from within. The insults, silly trash talking about the kids who did succeed and the parents who take a very active role in that success is just foolish. What do you really accomplish?

You're wrong.

She's not. You didn't condemn it on the other thread either.

I will restate that. Your loudest condemnation was that anyone was “afraid of the school system using such garbage”.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

You have not offered any explanation for how to reform the following:

Socialist-funded
Godless
Compulsory
Government owned and run
Government price-fixed monopoly cartel

The above **is** government schooling! It defines government schooling. How can you or anyone else “fix” this? Please please explain.

If it were “fixed” it would be non-socialistic, non-compulsory, not government owned and run, not a price-fixed monopoly cartel, and it would be God-centered. In other words it would be a PRIVATE school!!!!

Please resolve this for us, please.

Also...There is the question of First Amendment Rights (federal and state). The very instant that a child enters a compulsory attendance government school, the government restricts his speech, press, association, and free exercise of his religion. Because it is compulsory the government is also trampling his liberty and his ability to freely live his life and pursue his happiness. Yet, if a school allows free speech, free press, free association, and free expression of religion, and liberty, chaos reigns and the school is neither safe or effective.

How would you “fix” this conundrum. Huh?

There is only one solution: Move toward a completely private system of K-12 education ( and I would extend this to government universities and colleges, as well!)

You’re trying to fix the system from within.

What are YOU really accomplishing?

What progress have people with your mentality made in the last several decades?

Public school defenders make the exact same claim as you and I’ve yet to see ONE discernible difference the sacrifice of your child’s childhood has made against the system. It’s only gone from bad to worse.

If that’s what we can expect from all the efforts of people like you to fix the system from within, you can have it. Let us know when you make some REAL progress.
