Five members of Vote Vets, a political group that backs candidates who have served in the military, stood behind a podium in a Seattle Center conference room to tell an audience of one (yours truly) that while Patty Murray has been pushing vet-backed bills in DC, Dino Rossi's record on the subject is "overwhelmingly negative."
But that's not true. From the time Rossi entered the State Senate in 1997 to his exit at the end of 2003, there isn't a single instance of him ever voting against a bill for vets.

Dino Rossi’s commercials on local TV are pathetic.
He spends time talking about his childhood etc....not going to win him the election.
He needs to go for the jugular of Patty Murray...Unemployment, foreclosures, government debt and taxes...in other words Patty’s record of accomplishments.

Vote Vets
10-1 Marxist front group, Soros? Vets being used as useful idiots. Pawns.
I agree. I don’t think he wants to win because he sure isn’t trying very hard.
The next month and one half will be the greatest mud slinging lying campaign there aver was. The Dems. are like a cornered wounded animal and they will do and say anything. The republicans better be prepared to counter attack.
I saw that commercial and it is the first which is any good.
This one is fairly new. Rossi needs to get more BLUNT in stating Murry’s record of ACTUAL RESULTS.
Her commercials stress what she wants to do.
That deflects from the horrible results her being in charge have produced.
Rossi is just a very mild mannered and “nice” guy.
It’s not so much that he does not want to win.
He needs to fight fire with fire, and stop being a nice guy with Murry.
I don’t disagree with you. If he is reluctant to do so himself I’d like him to go after her through surrogates - however it gets done!
Murray is a desperate political animal distorting things in order to look as conservative as possible. Vets this, vets that. Sticking up for the Boeing tanker project, blah blah blah.
Rossi’s campaign in 100% inept. He has the richest target opportunity in this entire national election, and he’s chosen to position himself as a small-market TV yuk-yuk weather personality of indeterminable gender.
Not worth going to the mat for, folks.
When Rossi entered the primary field, and Patty began her negative campaign against him, I told my husband that Rossi needed to do something now to counter this stuff. Hubby, looking blankly at me asked why. Because, I explained, Patty Murray is cementing an image of Dino Rossi to the voters. He needs to counter that and quickly. He did not.
Her ad accuses him of being in the pocket of lobbyists. I would think that it wouldn't take too much to find out how much money from "lobbyists" Patty has taken over the past decade or more. Why aren't we seeing those ads?
I am becoming disheartened, and I told the guy that yesterday. Not sure what good it will do, but I told him that Dino needs to get out there and start countering those ads.
We are exactly on the same page.
Talking about how he would work with the other party and be "above the fray."
This clown has all the passion and fire of an extinct volcano. No wonder why he lost two previous gubernatorial races. Murray has this seat in the bag folks.
Uhm! I guess people are not doing their homework. Vote Vets is a Soros backed unit designed to promote Marxist socialist policy using the military as a front.
No, homework. I just had that Soros, leftist smell to it.
The latest attacks on Rossi for his comments that the Air Force should not consider illegal airplane subsidies in its aerial refueling tanker competition try to deflect the focus on Murray's poor effort with the bidding process. Rossi meant to say that the subsidies question should not change the playing field for Boeing. Northrop Grumman/EADS has had even a greater subsidy problem and to single Boeing out is giving the advantage to Northrop Grumman/EADS.
We we should not overlook Murray's vote for Obamacare will cost Boeing $150 million additional health care costs. Boeing employees will have to about pay 23% more in premiums because of the new measure.
