"It would make as much sense as limiting engineers to 4 years on a project and then out."

"Career Politiciains" were NOT the intention of the Framers at all; nor was Public Service as a career. They expected people to donate a term in Office as a public duty, then go back to their lives. We've evolved into a money-making/money-laundering/forced funneling to select big money partners who promote a token candidate to do their bidding, take tax dollars and channel them back to the donors MULTIPLIED immensely for their "investment", and skim off enough to keep the ass of the poitician re-elected to continue the process.

Just look at the SEIU and AFSCME and tell me that's not just a money-lau ndering/investment by politicians and business/moneymen to enrich themselves and their friends.

At least Term Limits will spread the wealth and remove a parasite at a time....and rotate the crop.

If you are worried about AFSCME go talk to the state legislators about your idea ~ can’t think of any federal bureaucrats represented by them.

Yes; nearly ALL AFSCME are state and local government employees but the Unions have taken over the taxpayer-funded jobs and have continued the extortion/money-laundering scheme for the Socialists down to the local level.

The point is that the Unions are a front group for the Progressive Agenda, and the taxpayer is the source of wealth-redistribution funding of that Agenda.

So he didn’t think we’d retake the majority even with Castle?

The GOP has deluded itself into thinking that they could stop Obama's agenda with one of the most liberal members of the Senate.  Castle is more liberal than both the Maine Sisters.

Rasmussen is the best pollster in the business. He doesn’t suddenly not become so, simply because people don’t like his results.

Rasmussen nor any pollster has taken a poll on an O'Donnell-Coons matchup since September 2nd. So, there is no way of knowing where the race stands right now.

I thought of the same thing.

I have always believed in the political pendulum- the farther it is pushed in one direction, the farther it naturally swings in the other direction.

I would have to have it pushed so far this year that Obama or Hillary would be a lock in 2012.

Better tell Darrel Issa. That’s his number 1 priority - impeachment hearings. That should tie Congress up good and sticky for two years. We start with a government shutdown, move right into oxygen-sucking impeachment hearings in the Judiciary Committee - that should show Americans that the current GOP is ready to lead us out of this crisis.

If the GOP can’t deliver jobs and economic benefits, and rapidly, all bets are off for them. The public doesn’t seem to be in the mood for for activity they just regard as political grandstanding. Just my .02.
