I think his handlers will keep him around as long as he is useful, and when he ceases to advance their agenda, they will make him a martyr and pin it on conservatives (al la Timothy McVeigh).

I think by the time Obama is out of office, there won’t be an MSM. It’ll all be grassroots and done by YouTube, emails, and other digital media. No more needing CNN and others. If not entirely gone, but drastically fragmented and balkanized. There is no way that the press will be able to survive as a monolith after the past election, the collapsing ratings, and the complete lack of credibility they have in reporting ‘hard news.’
If Zero goes on a racist rant, he’ll all the more shut down the race baiters. He had a tremendous chance to literally make his position into something historically great, but blew it. He really blew it. He oculd have risen to becoming a much better man, hired a team of succcessful workers and then helped get this country through and then gone down in history not just as the first black president, but a great one as well. But the lowlife blew it.
