Our TV is used to view; Big Brother (although after this last season this may be scrubbed), Survivor (same as BB it is on the possible exclusion list), Antiques Roadshow and DVD’s. Seems that more often after watching a DVD from our collection, we end up putting it in the ‘for sale’ pile.

We now have a large collection of books, mostly westerns, and these are consistently good. No commercials, no left leaning agendas, low power consumption. All that is required is for me to read ‘out loud,’ so my husband can enjoy them with me. :-) If the author uses words that I choose not to hear/say it is simple to on-the-spot edit. It is easy to pause the story to discuss what is happening without the need for expensive equipment (TIVO)

We encourage more folks to try it. It can bring two people closer, too. Whereas TV isolates people.
