Court documents obtained Saturday by THE WEEKLY STANDARD reveal surprising new details about the gender discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuit filed by Christine O'Donnell in 2005 against her former employer, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, a conservative non-profit based in Delaware.* O'Donnell, who is now challenging moderate congressman Mike Castle in the September 14 Delaware GOP Senate primary, sought $6.95 million in damages. In a court complaint, she extensively detailed the "mental anguish" she suffered after allegedly being demoted and fired because of her gender. And, although she didn't have a bachelor's degree until this year, O'Donnell implied she was taking Master's degree classes at Princeton University in 2003.
O'Donnell alleged in a July 1, 2005 complaint filed in district court that she had been demoted because ISI's conservative philosophy dictated that women must be subordinate to men. She claimed she was fired when she contacted the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission regarding her demotion. ISI told the Delaware News Journal that she had been "terminated for operating a for-profit business."
O'Donnell's finances, honesty, and stability have been called into question in light of her false and strange claims. The court complaint raises further questions on all fronts. O'Donnell, who made an annual salary of $65,000 at ISI as director of communications and public affairs, sought up to $6,952,477 million in damages, claiming, among other allegations, that ISI had defamed her and had violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. O'Donnell sought:
--Up to $3,952,447 in "Direct Damages, including back pay" and "lifetime lost income and liftetime damage to reputation."

Its old news. Nobody cares except the people (Here on this Conservative website) that hate Conservatives.
Covered in 2008 by PBS.
You want a perfect candidate, go move to China. Christine O’Donnell’s a heck of a lot better than your candidate Mike Castle, who can only fight more conservative people better than he fights Demos. So think about that.
Castle is a Proven RINO.
NO
MORE
RINOS
He votes wrong over and over and over. And that’s what a Senator does, vote. He is bad at his job because he votes wrong.
Anything else but that is a distraction.
I agree. The squishy rinos are offensive in every possilbe way. Their damn votes infuriate and demoralize, whereas democrat votes inspire us to find good, conservative candidates.
You have come to the right place although you could, Rod, just look at, say, the posts of FISHTALK, which are filled with a sincere truth.
This is old news but it’s true. At one point Christine did file a discriminatory lawsuit against some think tank. She dropped the case.
This hit article had a lot of quotes by Dan Gaffney, who, ahem, I do know and I provided a link from 2007 from Gaffney. My husband is my witness but the guy is odd. I got my husband as witness and.....drumroll...I GOT ALL HIS EMAILS!!!! I dunno, maybe O’Donnell turned him down?
There’s a lot on this guy, a local radio talk show host who interviewed me once, in fact.
A lot of the facts in this article have been debunked, including that allegation that she asked for millions of dollars.
Also, lies by ISI evidently fed to the Standard guy. Mark Levin also, on Facebook just today, wrote a scathing rebuttal to this story.
I dunno, RG....what can I say? It’s something she did. She says she was fired discriminatorily and the ISI people say she got fired for having an outside of the office business. It turns out, further reading reveals, that the ISI people knew she had this business when they hired her. And they, in fact, DID fire her the day after she filed a discriminatory suit....odd.
Further, as Mark Levin points out, O’Donnell worked for two other think tanks with which she never had a problem and both of whom endorsed her and provided her with funds through their PACS.
This whole thing was covered back in 2007 but look at how the hyenas were so quick to jump all over it? Including a guy I once greatly admired...CHARLESCT.
Again, Christine is who we have running in the here and now. I wish we had a former Eagle scout who paid all his or her bills timely, who won two purple medals, who never filed a lawsuit likely in a fit of anger. But I know she’s an honest and sincere individual and I know that nowhere in the constitution does it say that you cannot run for Senator if you’ve ever not paid a bill on time or filed a lawsuit then dropped it. I also think somewhere in there there are charges that Christine O’Donnell murdered her mother. Do not let the fact that her mother is still alive distract from their version of events.
I’m pretty sure some of these hooting and hollering hyenas on this thread are Castle operatives but you’ll just have to trust my gut on this. I know these people, how they cross their T’s and dot their I’s.
Finally, Rush Limbaugh covered this story last week and he pretty much said it was a nothing burger.
But look at ‘em hooting and hollering and picking fleas off each other!!
Christine might have warts and with the right words you can make the most innocuous and ordinary sound pretty bad. But she’s who we have now and for all her crimes, even murdering her mother, Castle’s “sin” of voting FOR Cap and Trade, the awful DISCLOSE act, his vow NOT to repeal Obamacare, his vote FOR foetal stem cell research, his vote AGAINST the Iraqi surge, his vote FOR investigating George Bush for possible impeachment....they are all worse than anything O’Donnell’s ever done.
Except maybe murdering her mother but maybe not even that.
Mark Levin calls it Christine O’Donnell Derangement Syndrome.
Heh,
*****************
Rod, Ive read every one- In sum, if one is for the establishment, globalist, statist Washingtonian Unparty, one is for Castle- if not, one favors Christine.
All else is jactitation. -:)
My point is that instead of the NRO and Weekly Standard alarming us to the “horror” that is Christine O’Donnell, where were they in alarming us to the terrible record of Mike Castle? The biggest thread to the future of the GOP is not running candidates like O’Donnell, but having incumbents like Mike Castle.
Gotcha thanks.
If she can’t win in the general, then it may well be a case of D or R for the seat—and that could determine which party controls the Senate for the next two years.
Prove it. Further, even if there are such "commonly accepted" meanings, that doesn't mean that I accept such a meaning, nor that meaning would meet my standards.
And you know that the measuring stick contains all 5%s, like a ruler. 25, 30, 35. If you exceed 35%, it is accepted practice to use the 5 as the measure. You dont say 33, or 34, you say 35. Thats how it works.
Again, prove it. You seem to think that you, and you alone can dictate "accepted meanings." Who says I have to accept such meanings?
Youre a liar and you know it.
No, and your anger demonstrates your irrationality. However, We've already established that your beloved O'Donnell is a liar. There can be some disagreement as to what constitutes "barely breaking" however, there cannot be any disagreement over "I beat Joe Biden in 2 counties." One statement has a built in leeway, the other has no room for any ambiguity. Further, when confronted with the real facts, it would constitute a second lie to retreat to "No, I tied him." Finally, when confronted with the facts again, it would constitute a third lie to then retreat to "OH NOEZ CONSPIWACY!!!." I noticed that you completely ignored O'Donnell's bold faced lies. I think you are trying to deflect. So tell me, is her lying OK?
Have you answered my questions about other races? Who do you support in Hawaii, Maryland, NH, NY and NY? Or do you just hate Conservatives?
I am willing to bet that I am far more conservative than you. However, I'll play your game, IF and WHEN you tell me whether O'Donnell's bold face lie was OK or not.
The answer is: it’s slime.
There is a lot of power and money behind the Cap and Trade legislation.
This last minute dirt-digging and twisting of the truth is brokered by those in the ruling class who need Mike Castle’s vote in favor of Cap and Trade (otherwise known as slavery).
okay katie bar the door...
Christine wanted to impress her soon-to-be tea party backers. She probably crossed her fingers behind her back and maybe justified her little white lie by thinking...well hey, I DID win the nomination in Sussex and Kent.
It’s a hoot and I’d snort. But damn sam go to hell...A POLITICIAN LYING!
Stop the planet, please, I wanna get off.
Mike Castle...he never lied in his life.
I love her.Heard her on Hannity and she really has her act together. Can’t vote for her here in Pa.Are you in Delaware?
