Court documents obtained Saturday by THE WEEKLY STANDARD reveal surprising new details about the gender discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuit filed by Christine O'Donnell in 2005 against her former employer, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, a conservative non-profit based in Delaware.* O'Donnell, who is now challenging moderate congressman Mike Castle in the September 14 Delaware GOP Senate primary, sought $6.95 million in damages. In a court complaint, she extensively detailed the "mental anguish" she suffered after allegedly being demoted and fired because of her gender. And, although she didn't have a bachelor's degree until this year, O'Donnell implied she was taking Master's degree classes at Princeton University in 2003.
O'Donnell alleged in a July 1, 2005 complaint filed in district court that she had been demoted because ISI's conservative philosophy dictated that women must be subordinate to men. She claimed she was fired when she contacted the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission regarding her demotion. ISI told the Delaware News Journal that she had been "terminated for operating a for-profit business."
O'Donnell's finances, honesty, and stability have been called into question in light of her false and strange claims. The court complaint raises further questions on all fronts. O'Donnell, who made an annual salary of $65,000 at ISI as director of communications and public affairs, sought up to $6,952,477 million in damages, claiming, among other allegations, that ISI had defamed her and had violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. O'Donnell sought:
--Up to $3,952,447 in "Direct Damages, including back pay" and "lifetime lost income and liftetime damage to reputation."

Thanks for the answers, FT. A couple more questions.
Do you know if Gaffney has ever complained about Castle coming on his show?
Do you know if Gaffney has covered Castle's liberal voting record?
Thank you for that.
I knew it was 35% but didn’t have the stats right at hand.
35% of the vote against Joe Biden.....a known and entrenched Conservative.
That’s damn good.
If they’re so right why do they have to lie with the numbers?
She got 17% in the 2006 GOP Primary, and 4% as a write-in in the General election. She won an uncontested 2008 primary, before being slaughtered in the General Election by Biden.
I consider 35% barely breaking 30%. If you are really touting 35% as a good performance, then you have more problems than I thought.
>>>Interesting. What’s your source on this? Thanks!<<<
From several sources, Including talking to Christine.
Sorry but I didn’t think I needed to document them as I was doing it for my own inquisitiveness.
Seems some love to pick tidbits here and there without putting it all together.
I think we have an excellent candidate in Christine, to her credit, she stands by her principles despite the cutting smears. Can she get flustered with some of the ‘gotcha’ moments? Sure, just like anyone would.
What really frosts me about this whole campaign is the GOP.
And I have told them so - in no uncertain terms!
I don’t get it.
These are the worst of the Liberals who are only pretending to be conservative.
We think, you, I and almost all Freepers, that Christine is a compelling conservative candidate. But RINOs feel the need to dump on her, in a clearly Conservative year.
Why don’t they spend the time looking at one of 5 other races to try to determine if there’s someone they can be FOR.
Hawaii, Maryland, NH, and 2 NY races all in the next week.
And I bet the RINOs who are dumping on Christine don’t know anything about those races. I don’t, I’ll admit. But I’m not making arguments about the number of Senate seats the Republicans might get.
Someone thinks Christine won’t win, fine. Respect Free Republic, respect that it’s a Conservative site. Repect that all Conservatives are lined up behind Christine.
If anyone is truly worried about the number of Republican seats, make sure that the right candidate is in place in Hawaii, Maryland, NH, NY and NY. Find a RINO you like and talk him up. But leave DE alone.
The RINOs are only pretending to care about electability. They really just don’t like Conservatives. They’re a pack of liars.
GOOD to know they’re repeating Hannity’s show!
RUSH LIMBAUGH, MARK lEVIN, SARAH PALIN AND SENATOR DEMINT DO NOT LEND THEIR NAMES AND ENDORSEMENTS TO “lightly”.
Mike Castle is a corrupt incumbent who has continuously voted with democrats against our CONSTITTUTION AND ALL THINGS SACRED TO US, including, but not limited to, LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT OF WEALTH AND FREEDOM FROM BOG GOVERNMENT!

Speaking of Lying, how can 35% be considered "good", when it was the lowest performance to date against Biden.
The GOP managed: 49%, 41%, 40%, 36%, 38%, and 41% against Biden prior to O'Donnell's dismal 35%.
ooops AND WOO-HOO!
LOL. I tried to catch and change that typo.
I am sure that Gaffney would LOVE for Castle to come on his show. Who wouldn’t? Castle never gets interviewed. To score one would quite the “get”.
Gaffney comes on from 6 am to 9 am in the morn. I rarely listen to him. And frankly, if you want to know the truth, he doesn’t really do politics all that much. Gaffney generally does local news and pop culture.
In fact, it’s damn odd he did an interview with O’Donnell as the afternoon guy and the fellow who mostly does politics, Bill Colley (yeah I got a story about him too but he is like minded with me)....just a few days prior to the Gaffney interview did an interview with Christine. THAT interview went fine.
Gaffney’s interview with Christine, as I heard secondhand, went badly. Christine got upset and riled, accused Gaffney of being on somebody’s payroll.
Well I said before and I’ll say it again, I’ve had some pretty weighty issues with Gaffney and again, I’ve got every single email saved. Plus my husband is witness.
But Christine’s new at all this. She’s a relatively young woman who’s facing a lot of intense scrutiny. And Gaffney did browbeat the woman, I don’t know why.
I don’t know that Gaffney’s ever mentioned Castle’s voting record. I will tell you that WGMD is very, very conservative talk radio station in these parts. And Dan Gaffney is the boss man and frankly he’s mostly Conservative. He looks exactly like Dagwood Bumstead and has a houseful of kids.
I know that Bill Colley, the afternoon guy comes on after Rush has mentioned Castle’s voting record but if Gaffney has, I dunno. Somehow I rather doubt it.
Yeah, I know all that. I also know that she had a lousy case to begin with or the attorney would have taken it on contingency. That also tells me it was a sour grapes, retaliatory suit. She had nothing. Zero. Zip. Nada.
Or maybe she just awoke one morning and POOF! All that mental anguish she’d been suffering from lo those many years was gone! She didn’t need that $7,000,000 cure after all!! Praise the Lord and hallelujah!!!
You know it all.
I’ve never seen those percentages but hey, I bow to the expert.

- George W. Bush
No I was just pointing out that you’re a liar.
And no, barely breaking 30% is not at all the same thing as breaking 35%.
It’s a bold faced lie and you know it.
McCain got 36.92% in Delaware in 2008.
O’Donnell got 35.3% in Delaware in 2008.
Christine did 1.62% worst than McCain in 2008.
2008 was a terrible year for Republicans, 2010 is a great year for Republicans.
Those are the facts.
>>>Strong statements such as yours are usually too over-reaching to be correct. <<<
Well, when you achieve septuagenarian status, you have experienced a bit more than most!
I have know Mike Castle since he used to jog around downtown Dover as a fledgling Lt. Gov.. I have voiced my opinions to his face many many times.
It is obvious however, that your interest is more to demean than to seek truth!
