Gingrich says that D’Souza has made a “stunning insight” into Obama’s behavior — the “most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama.”

“What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?” Gingrich asks. “That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.”

“This is a person who is fundamentally out of touch with how the world works, who happened to have played a wonderful con, as a result of which he is now president,” Gingrich tells us.

“I think he worked very hard at being a person who is normal, reasonable, moderate, bipartisan, transparent, accommodating — none of which was true,” Gingrich continues. “In the Alinksy tradition, he was being the person he needed to be in order to achieve the position he needed to achieve . . . He was authentically dishonest.”

$$$$$

This is the same observation that my 95 year old, lifetime political junkie, charter subscriber of National Review, etc, mother made before The One was elected.

It's about time someone put it in print.

Your mother is very astute! She raised a daughter with great political insight and writing skills, too!

“It’s about time someone put it in print.”

It’s just too bad that more didn’t put it in print in the summer of 2008.

Sorry I am so late in replying. I was at a Scottish Games and Festival today, hearing the pipes and watching sheep dog trials. A wonderful break from politics! (Although I had visions of massed pipes leading the hordes of us common folk armed with pitchforks and torches as we marched on Washington!)

maica, she is right. And I even figured out what they did. Look at how those girls and Michelle were dressed during the campaign. Tailored suits and pretty dresses. Michelle wore her lovely wigs and the girls pretty much had straightened hair. (Go back and look at the campaign photos.)

Now, the girls are constantly in bizarre teen clothes and the older one went almost a whole year wearing dreadlocks and Michelle’s fashions are loud and vulgar. How to explain this?

Part of the con was that they presented themselves as Cliff and Claire Huxtable, the couple portrayed on the Bill Cosby show back in the 90’s. Malia and Sasha were Rudi and Vanessa.

It was a very calculated thing. That show was highly popular back then, and is still in syndication on many local channels. Through the whole campaign they gave many visual clues that they were just good old Cliff and Claire, hard-working black professionals who had solid middle class values.

So almost every American who was a regular watcher of that show got the message being telegraphed, even though they didn’t come right out and say it. I think this probably accounts for a great many of the votes from those under 40, and also explains the crossover vote from dim bulb Republicans.
