Dragging the kids into an assembly to watch TV is awfully disruptive to the school day.
Wouldn’t it be better for school officials just to get the written version of the speech, review it to see if its worthwhile, and then just have the teachers read it to their students if they think its appropriate?
“The most famous depiction of the Winkies is in The Wizard of Oz (1939 film) where they appear as the regimental army of the Wicked Witch of the West, marching in formation and chanting “Oh We Um, Eoh Um”
From: Wikipedia
The Wicked _itch of the White House is the Leader of the ‘Free World’? Who knew? Or is he merely Chief Winkie?
Not a chance in hell will my children see this dickhead speak.I will take them to work that day.

The Presidents Back-to-School Speech is an opportunity to speak directly to students across the country.
President Obamas Back-to-School Speech will be live streamed on WhiteHouse.gov
“Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. Thats the opportunity an education can provide”
Better said, God has a purpose for everyone and it’s our responsibility to seek Him and He will reveal that purpose.
I thought they were on strike, marching and chanting “OEO” (Office of Economic Opportunity).
We teach him to think for himself. We already had the “conversation” with both the history and science teacher. I told them both, if they get political with my kid they will answer to me and my attorney. Told my kid this and he yelled at me.
“Dad, I could handle this on my own. I have the truth on my side.”
Not bad for a 10th grader.
