This is some weird glozi trick.
Perhaps Trump could help them find another property that costs even more. That way they could do an IRS 1031 (Starker) exchange and avoid paying any capital gains tax on their profit. Trump would know how to put together such a deal. If they did not go for it, and the chief investor has said it’s “just business”, then their ulterior motives would certainly be very apparent.
I was not at all happy with Kelo, especially as it pertains to people’s homes. “A man’s home is his castle.” So I hate to see it employeed in any situation, thus giving it strength agains all us homeowners.
I just heard yesterday that the Saudis have let Israel know that they will not be all that upset if Israel decides to take out the Iranian nukes. Apparently they have given Israel overflight permission for the trip. There are as many forms of Muslim belief/practice as there are Christian. Sunnis (Wahabi subset the most fanatical), Shiites, Alawis, Sufis, various forms in southeast asia, etc. It is the Saudi financing of Wahabi madrassas all over the place that has given Muslims such a fanatical impetus and bad name. This sect arose in the poorest most backward part of Saudi Arabia several hundred years ago. Frankly where there are Wahabi based schools in the US and other Western countries, they should be carefully watched. If they are teaching things like armed jihad, suicide bombing, and related violence, they should be arrested for “contributing to the delinquency of minors.”
