One gentlemen that lived further up from the explosion ran out of the garage with his video camera and shot film of the explosion. However he stated that for the past few days the smell of gas was present.

If the smell of gas part for 3 weeks in the vicinity of a 30" line is true, look out PG&E.

The Glenview and Claremont intersection is just a large crater,, all homes around it are decimated.
I am guessing here but if folks were reporting gas smells and something was over looked or not followed up on some heads need to spin.
