JSteff, I'm glad you asked. Darrell Issa has to goods, or at least knows where to find them. Come January he will be chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee. He will have subpeona powers. He will uncover a lot of corruption and, I bet, some high crimes and misdemeanors that will be traced back to Hussein.
If the repubs gain 100 seats in the house and 13-15 in the senate it won't be business as usual. There will be a huge majority in the house, and these new members are CONSERVATIVES, not RINOS. Who knows if they will even elect Boehner as speaker. It might be one of the young guns. In any case, it will be a much different house, maybe even a radical house, unencumbered by "the ways of Washington". The dems will be a ragtag, dispirited rump. The election will kick the stuffing out of them, they will spend their time fighting and blaming each other.
The senate will also look different. I expect a repub majority, once again the new faces will be very conservative. The remaining dem senators will also be a dispirited bunch.
The economy is not going to get any better. Hussein is not going to change any of his policies. As it is, the more people hear and see him, the less popular he becomes. And he is determined to push himself into the public arena as much as he can. He will become less and less popular. As Issa exposes his crimes the people will speak loudly and demand justice.
That's how I see it. I can dream, can't I?

This nation elected an unknown quantity. The media didn't do their job because they were enamored with the concept and symbolism of this half black, ivy league educated guy that talks really smart and regurgitates the typical liberal stuff they love (i.e. the socialist-economic, enviro, secular, multicultural BS).
The average person saw a young guy that was handsome, wore pretty suits, had big white teeth, was tall and thin, walked with a swagger and looked cool when under pressure. To bad that what he was saying was really scary stuff even during his campaigning. But who was listening? The “masses” (as he sees them) were more involved with his cool logo (The first President that branded his political campaign like McDonald's golden arches).
Americans were being greedy and selfish, they were to busy counting all the things they will get for free if he gets elected, like college, health care, etc...... You had overt racism with over 90% of the black vote going to him and many other “self perceived” minorities and underdogs following suit. The yuppy kids thought they are making a statement, being smart and cool voting for him. Most women simply found him attractive and cute. The gays supported him because he promised them everything too, as he did the environmentalists. He promised the old more, as he did those with AIDS but in the end of the day who was thinking what's best for America? What's fair, what's Constitutional, what's right and realistic? In a way, someone like Obama could only rise to power because of the ignorance, selfishness and greed of the many.
We got what we deserve. As your taxes go up, as your health savings account becomes worthless and health care costs will rise 9% in a recession with near flat inflation, remember that we're only getting what we wanted, what we voted for. The Germans voted for Hitler, and in Venezuela they elected Chavez........ Maybe the socialist is right when they think of the electorate in their condescending way, referring to them as the “masses.” Maybe Nietzsche was right when he referred to people and their behavior as the “herd.”

“When it comes to the USA, Obama has the mentality of a envious and resentful Third Worlder. He is our first Third World president, at least in mentality and background. That mentality explains practically all his actions and inactions.
That’s a great 3-sentence summation of the article.

I agree. Over and over again, I find it truly remarkable the power of the media over the great majority of the population.
A month or so ago, the BP oil spill was a catastrophic event with truly world-ending possibilities. The oceans were going to die. The Louisiana and Florida coasts were going to be polluted wastelands for decades. Shrimp was going to quintuple in price. 10-20% of the US population would have to be moved to other sections of the country since the entire gulf coast was to become a live-in carcinogen and teratogen. And our only hope for salvation was to light off a nuke on the thing in what can only be called a “hail Mary” move that was nothing but a shot in the dark indicative of blinding ignorance.
And now? You don’t hear a single frickin word about it. Gone. It’s like it never happened!

But of course. Even if the man is technically an American citizen, he spent his early life “off-shore,” Honolulu is, people forget, as close to Tokyo as to Washington, DC, and twenty-five hundred miles from San Diego. He grew in a colonial world, and has no concept of what it means to be an American.

Thats a great 3-sentence summation of the article. Thanks, but I guess we all want to brag on ourselves occasionally. I've written that here several times, the first time a year or more ago. He just struck as having the mentality of a Third Worlder quite some time ago. And this is a good article that presents many of the reasons for his Third World mentality.

He will have subpeona powers. He will uncover a lot of corruption and, I bet, some high crimes and misdemeanors that will be traced back to Hussein.
That is not what I would expect though. Either:1) Issa does make it back to congress but has a strange accident of the Clintonian (Arkancide) kind or 2) Like SCOTUS he is convinced or forced to drop it all for the good of our union or 3) He is enthralled with the power, money, and control all that info gives him and he does nothing else but retires or just cools out / slows down in a few years better off than you would think someone in government would ever be. He becomes like a Ted Kennedy with a secure seat and tons of favors from all the civil servants he has put into government.
Maybe I am a bit jaded but I wish him the best. Fingers crossed, but doubtful for now. Remember, we are dealing with a Chicago politician/gangster, with powerful socialist and communist pals so the may have some serious on the ropes moments before it is all settled out.
Franken was just a tiny drop of what to expect in November. Multiply that times 50 or more, keeping in mind that the dems still have over 450 BILLION of unspent money from the stimulus and bailouts that has NOT been SPENT up to now!! It will be spent to keep O in power with as much strength as possible.
Possibly (at the end of November) he gets into a weakened country against a weaker than we expect Republican House/Senate and still has gobs of money to get him through the next presidential election (but with 2 more left wing justices on SCOTUS!).
That is one of the most likely possible outcomes we might be expected to have facing us. Remember, as we have seen, the Stimulus was not done for "shovel ready projects". It was for the Dem party, but mainly for Obama's re-election. So far he has worked this out like a clock. And we all thought Clinton had teflon coating or demonic assistance.
But this guy is better than Bill ever was. Also what many/most have not paid attention to or forgot, the Dems after the Bush/Gore & Bush/Kerry elections have been PACKING critical states with liberal left leaning Secretaries of State as their back up plan since Bush-Gore. Even worse, watch to see if he gets two more libs on SCOTUS and you will know it is to plan.
All in all it is a much tougher situation than most have thought out. Not nearly as rosey as we all have been helped to think right now. Pray it is not nearly as bad as I have made it to be.......
Note that not mentioned yet is Soros, Chinese, Russian, or Islamo money... yet...

Wow. I thought I was jaded and cynical, no offense.
I believe that, at some point, decent people around the president will prevail. Now, you could argue that there are not enough decent people around him, but as you go down the ladder, you will find more and more.
