Coffee prices hit a 13-year high Wednesday, extending a rally that has sent prices up about 43 percent in the past three months.
Sen. Charles Schumer , D-N.Y., says he wants U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk to warn some major coffee growers in Brazil and Vietnam not to stockpile their crops. He said that could boost coffee futures contracts even more.

Re your post 14, it’s good to find another fan of Melita’s coffee (Classic blend, too). Good stuff. As you say, never bitter.
All around I find it a very fine coffee for a very fine price.
I used to get it for $2.50~2.99 a can and its delicious.
Love the extra fine grind.

Fortunately, my hubby stocks up coffee every time he finds a “deal” on it. So we have quite a stock on the shelves.
“It is like espresso grind. I make that in the espresso machine. Seems to drip well in a drip machine”
Ground some beans extra fine while on vacation a few mos. back for a morning pot of joe. The stuff was so fine the entire pot never made it past the filter which backed-up and poured all over the counter of the rental cabin.
Cant live without dont want to live with out it !
I pay about 4 bucks for a can of french Roast.
If i buy the store brand roast its 2.50
and is really not too bad.
