In the context of this thread and this topic, it is non of her business whether someone served specifically in Afghanistan or Iraq as she specified, nor does anyone need to be a veteran at all, to offer their opinion on this thread or on the topic of this church demonstration.
She thanked that poster because she had her head handed to her, he just happened to be a veteran of that current war which she clearly did not expect, she thought she had him by the short ones and her mocking tone proves that.
This was a big embarrassment for her and explains why she won’t let it go.
And why won’t you let it go?
She may not have expected that answer but the question was still legit. If you aren’t willing to risk your life in war, do not antagonize an enemy that someone else will have to fight.
Neither the question, nor the response was even slightly embarrassing because it was relevant to the nature of the post I replied to. If someone is advocating putting our troops at greater risk then it is relevant whether or not he or she has served in the defense of this country. He did. There are a lot of keyboard blowhards out there, as you well know.
So.......poor ansel really, really wants to fight, and he's ticked that I'm not falling for his name-calling silliness. And because he is, he keeps escalating his imaginary accusations (love the liar thing. it's nutso).
So I think it's best to leave him to stew in his own bile, because it was old and predictable from the moment he started his nasty little game.
I'm sitting here in wonderment that anyone is so desperate as to make up this dopey one-sided fight and refuses to let go.
Sad. Really sad. I should have let him rant to himself rather than engaging him at all. Waste of time when there are people who really want to discuss the issue and not take personal potshots at people with other opinions.
Good bye ansel.
