I don't believe that there is a nexus between burning the Koran in Florida and violence in Afghanistan other than the reactions of psychotic killers. That is a cause and effect I don't accept as legitimate because I don't believe in pandering to sociopathic forms of insanity.

Give in on one demand from a psychopath and there will be another demand right on its heels. It sure doesn't sound like good military strategy to give ground to the enemy on the basis of their emotional state of mind.

(I have no comment on the wisdom of a church engaging in actions like this.)

If there is it lacks the severity of a sitting US senator (Kerry) stating publicly that our troops terrorize innocent women and children or of a sitting US representative (Murtha) stating publicly that our troops kill innocent civilians in cold blood.
