A spokesman for Crown called the performance remarkable, saying he could not immediately think of any other hardcover nonfiction books in 2010 that had sold over 1 million copies.
Sales are inevitably going to slow down eventually, but if it keeps selling at anything close to this pace, it will reach 3 million sold in another couple of months or so. That's really quite astonishing considering it's a rare nonfiction book that sells even close to 1 million total for its entire run. :)
In a fair world where big prizes are not doled out by Leftists, this book would win a Pulitzer, but I'm not holding my breath.
Of course, in a fair world where big prizes are not doled out by Leftists, George W. Bush would have justly won the Nobel Peace Prize. Look at Iraq today. They just formed a government, with their Prime Minister managing to bring all the different factions into his cabinet. They are making real progress on getting their oil production up to nearly the levels of Saudi Arabia.
People are buying his book in great numbers because the majority of Americans are good people and recognize THE President as a great leader and a good man.
My husband bought the book for his mother, and I'm betting that a lot of those books are Christmas gifts for family members who know quality when they see it and want the TRUE history of the Bush administration to be known far and wide.
And Wolfstar, YES to the Nobel Peace Prize in a fair world. A free Iraq in the center of the ME gives a stability that it hasn't seen before.
God BLESS President Bush for what he did for this great country and for the world!
