Very sweet, jlyspio! I loved that quote too. It speaks volumes.
PERFECT!
Wonderful pics. Thanks for the ping.
Looks like President Bush was given a hero’s welcome and two standing ovations by a sold-out crowd when he spoke at the College of the Ozarks near Branson, Missouri on Thursday night. The funniest line from his speech that was posted several times on Twitter was: “I never interneted...is that a word? Well, it is now!” Ah, love his witty sense of humor!

“Former President Bush speaks in the Ozarks” (Short news video clip, unfortunately no video inside the speech)

Thanks for the info and the pictures!!
GREAT pictures, Patty...as always! He is having so much
fun NOT being president! :)
Love the photos — the President has such an AWESOME smile!!
Great pictures and links. Thanks for the ping.
He looks fantastic - I think retirement agrees with him. Too bad for us ;-(
I just got a chance to closely scrutinize the picture. (I admit the bed distacted me, more than a little. The mind reels!) Anyway, isn’t that the “Bonhoeffer” book on the bedside table that W just finished reading.
Oh yes—I think you are right. Just returned that book to the library today! Good eyes, dawgfan!
I recognized it because it’s on my table to read, too!

Now, THOSE are truly *thud* moments! :)
GREAT pictures, Patty! He just looks better all the time....
as he is out of the stressful atmosphere of Washington!
Now that’s a REAL president!!
Same here, there’s nothing phony at all about our president! Strong and fearless and comfortable in his own skin!
