What I want to know is, when will President Bush's book overtake My LIES, by xlinton.....hehe.....It already has. :)
Even though it had higher first-day sales than "Decision Points," Clinton's book took six years to reach 2.2 million sold.
It's taken GWB's book 42 days to get to 1.75 million sold. Even if the current sales pace of about 41,600 per day was cut in half, "Decision Points" easily will reach 2 million sold by the end of its second month in stores.

This is beautiful, beautiful news, Wolfstar. THANK you! :)
I would guess that most who bought the Debauched One's book did so to get juicy tidbits of his vile behavior.
The millions who buy President Bush's book will do so because of his GOODNESS.
This makes me happy!

Obdurate people on the Right who hate him over pedestrian issues and imaginary slights (e.g., immigration reform PROPOSAL; Harriet Miers) can continue to whine, insult, and foolishly "disown" him, but none can diminish the importance of his presidency. This sums up the BDS'ers around here perfectly and how little they matter in the sweep of history. Fantastic!

This was on Greta's blog. That is Franklin and his wife behind GWB and Mr. Graham.

Excellent analysis — 2 million books in two months . . . pretty amazing for an ‘unpopular’ president . . . NOT!!

Well said. These people on both on the Left and Right are pathetic. They
didn't look at the intelligence briefings, they
didn't make difficult decisions to send young men and women into the battlefield. They
didn't comfort the grief-stricken spouses, parents and brothers and sisters who lost their loved ones in war.
In other words, the Left and the Right didn't walk in the same shoes as President Bush did as he worked day and night to protect this country from getting hit with a terrorist attack. Unless these Bush haters were faced in the same exact situations as he did, they don't get it and probably never will.

Thank you, Pattyvita. The haters are irrelevant. The nation and the world could easily have descended into complete chaos in the weeks and months after 9/11 and the anthrax attacks (I never separate the two). Only one reason why it didn't, and that was the towering leadership of President George W. Bush. He struck just the right balance between an aggressive response, restraint, and calm reassurance.
He didn't run around begging the world to forgive the U.S., as most Leftist presidents would have done. But just as importantly, he didn't completely ignore international concerns and bypass attempts at multilateral action, as some on the Right would have done.
I look around the political landscape right now and don't see anyone remotely in his league. It worries me greatly.

I just watched it as well- gorgeous interview of both of them. Billy stayed humble and George showed how much he admired the man.

Yes, dear jlyspio, you’re right. My husband watched, too. He was also very moved and touched by Revered Graham’s humility and serenity. We both loved every minute of the interviews. God bless them, and dear Greta, too.
A wish all of you a most Blessed and Merry Christmas!
Thanks very much for the beautiful photos, jlyspio. This is another thread that has to be saved [bookmarked].

Greta's interview with Billy Graham made me weep.
At 92, he is still sharing his love for Jesus Christ, and the Gospel message plain and simple.
And President Bush's deep respect and love for him, and for his Lord, came through loud and clear.
This was a special, special show.
