On FOX Panel - Chris Stirewall (?) - dem’s trying to pivot on the tax cuts/extending them..... it’s too late to work for the dem’s.
Juan Williams - obama says we’ve had 8 months of growth. Wallace quotes how many jobs we’ve lost just during “Recovery Summer”. Juan responds with the “do you realize how many jobs we could have lost?” argument. (IOW, if you still have a job - you should probably thank obama.)
Other panel dude (didn’t catch his name) - Businesses would love to hire, but can’t. Consumer spending is down and the economic uncertainty prevents businesses from hiring. It’s obama’s stimulus plan, and it has failed. You can’t run with that.
Yep, too bad NBC host wasn’t informed either, there was more jobs created, more revenues to the Government, more economic freedom;
There Should be No Debate Over Extending the Bush Tax Cuts

Rush “If you take money away from the rich they have less to spend. There’s less money to hire and economic activity gets depressed. It reduces. Tax cuts stimulate economic growth. The left cannot afford for that to be accepted as a norm throughout, and so the argument has come up and they’re piling on with as many people as they can to suggest that the Bush tax cuts are the reason why we’re in the problem that we’re in. Nothing can be further from the truth, and we’ve told you over the course of the program here since 2000. We’ve had the stories time and time again how Washington was shocked to see all the additional revenue they hadn’t counted on flowing into the Treasury simply because of a capital gains tax rate reduction down to 15%.”
We are in a drought alert here on the east coast.
Alas and alack, we had exactly NO rain either. Earl did nothing for us at all.
I think I will have to email him to tell him how stupid he is.
Don't be surprised if his email box is full ;-)
MTP panel is actually good this week, save for Dionne wearing his kneepads, who insists that candidates need obama, but relents that obama ignites Republicans to turn out the voters.
Charlie Cook is on the panel, along with Rich Lowrey.
Of course, and they will keep lowering it until it just about touches the incomes defined as the federal poverty level. An agenda designed to eliminate the middle class.
that would include many of the folks you cited. Cut taxes; cut spending.
A real "fair share" income tax would be "one earner, one rate" (how about 1%)
Oye .... are you going to make me watch MTP?
Mara Lyingscum just conceded that O continued “W’s” policies in Iraq and Afghanistan and “it’s paying off”.
When's the primary ? Is it open or closed? What accounts for Castle's apparent popularity..a megabucks smear campaign ? We're very interested in your unique perspective. Our job, I assume, would be send money to C O'D
FOX panel - Chris Stirewall - Comments on the economy during the pres’ speech on Iraq was an unintended consequence of the current dem polls.
Wallace asks Stephen Hayes about the “mixed messages” on Afghanistan policy. Hayes - If obama doesn’t denounce the deadline on Afghanistan - everything else obama said about Afgh. is meaningless.
How is it paying off. The left is apoplectic that O even mention President Bush by name the other day when he announced the end of Iraqi Freedom.
I think they give us McCain and Lindsey so they can claim an equal number of Republicans.
There can’t be any other explanation. Neither are in the news currently and neither have said anything interesting in ten years.
The Rasmussen Presidential Approval Index, which has been falling rapidly since the middle of the week is at an all time low of -23 this am.
Thanks, Girlene!
Charlie Cook is great on MTP. There’s no way to overcome the facts staring Americans in the face: unemployment and deficits.
Rich Lowrey makes excellent points too: Tea Party Independents are closer to Republicans on the big issues.
Dionne and the other libtard gal can only sit by and offer their lame hopey/changey mantras that have long been rejected; i.e., my words, trust in obama is “gone, baby, gone.”
BUMP and thank you!!!
I’m still convinced that the downturn in mid to late 2008 was because the business community saw that Obama was likely to win and it scared them witless.
They were right to be scared, but I refuse to blame the 2008 problems on Bush. I think they were all Obama fear.
LOL.
I am mildly interested in what Tony Blair has to say. I’d heard he was quite favorable to Bush in his book, but not sure about that.
