The Las Vegas Review-Journal’s copyright infringement lawsuit partner on Friday sued U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle over R-J material posted on her website, allegedly without authorization.

The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas by Righthaven LLC, seeks damages of $150,000 against Angle personally and forfeiture of her website domain name sharronangle.com.

Not sure what you are asking.

I sent money to the Hoffman campaign.

I also sent money to the Angle campaign, twice.

Couldn’t have been orchestrated by the Reid campaign, could it? Nah. Why would someone who is suing Sharon Angle want control of the domain sharonangle.com?

That a Reid supporter planted this was my thought too. I hope this is thoroughly checked into.

Nonsense.

2010 is going to be a wave election, and Reid will be tossed out along with many other Dems.

The voters of NV chose to pick a true conservative outsider, namely Angle, and when she is elected, non-RINO republicans will be thrilled with her conservative activism.

Lowden (whom I supported) would have indeed won more easily, but Angle will still beat Reid by 3-5%.

It would appear that either of you is correct.

Quote from an article the R-J:
Like most defendants sued by Righthaven LLC, the Review-Journal's copyright enforcement partner, Burrage said in his response that neither the Review-Journal nor Righthaven sent him a cease and desist letter before suing him.

With Harry as a backer, anything he doesn’t like will be subject to scrutiny and possible lawsuits. The RJ is such a leftist paper they can’t even GIVE the papers away.

About every two weeks, they send someone to one of the local stores (I’m sure they are at more than this one, but I only shop at this one) to give papers away.

They get you going in and coming out. I wouldn’t waste my time reading a free RJ because they just don’t like anything or anyone that is contrary to their opinons.

Besides...I get the REAL news on FR!

I was just in Las Vegas for a week and you are inundated with Reid/Angle ads each commercial break. The only thing I really noticed is that Angle’s ads are really cheap looking. There is one where she’s doing some town-hall thing and it cuts to obviously edited/shot separately pictures of people nodding and smiling weirdly and the whole ad ends with Angle giving a creepy smile. I don’t know how ads like this even get on the air. The whole Reid campaign is that Angle is extreme/weird, so you make an ad where she gives a creepy smile at the end?

Interesting new technique.
And here I thought Dem’s were content with their traditional ballot box stuffing and other voting fraud efforts.

And that the One Party Press’s attacks on any Dem opponent would suffice to keep the Former Slave Owners’ Party in power.

I thought the same thing. I thought most of the other GOP candidates had better polling data versus Reid than Angle did. If that’s so, how the heck did she win the GOP nod?

This needs to be pointed out time and time again. Some people just don’t get this concept. If the Senate majority is GOP, the dim agenda will never even make it to the floor for a vote. 51 R Sens (incl. Maine sisters, Grahmnesty, Juan Mac, Scott Brown) means 0’s agenda is over. Period.

That's the way it should be. It would be to some degree. However, RINOs in committees are not going to develop spines. They will want to appear "fair" and allow garbage out for votes.

These Lawsuits are harrassment nothing else, and the “lawfirm” involved, are nothing more than bottomfeeders. But it comes close to a conspiracy to deny 1st amendment rights to Americans. How is the research into their finacials etc going btw?

Maybe Angle is saving her money for the big push. Harry is overconfident and is spending lavishly. While you may thing Sharron’s ads are “cheap looking” with “wierd smiles,” she makes POINTS. She doesn’t call Harry names, she just exposes the lies he’s telling.

We don’t like the ads, either, but we don’t like Harry more. If you don’t live here, don’t complain.

Oddly enough (or not) Reid and Angle are running neck and neck in popularity and dime for dime in campaign funds.

This is why politicians will continue to use certain pop music songs on the campaign trail even after the owner/performer of the song has expressly demanded a stoppage to the use of the piece of music....

If you're referring to the Wilson sisters whining about the use of "Barracuda", the GOP had paid for the rights to use it, and the little crybabies were just trying to shame them out of it. Didn't work.

I have to agree with Righthaven. It is stealing. I am a conservative and I am appalled that some of my fellow conservatives who bitch and moan against wealth redistribution (rightly so) seem to have no problem with content redistribution. Quite the double standard. I constantly remind my kids about “free” music downloads because that is stealing too.

It seems clear that the LVRJ and Righthaven are asking for very little. Make sure you post a link to the LVRJ and make sure you don’t post the whole article, only a paragraph or so, at most. Simple rules

"Democrats can’t win on the merits of their policies or their records, so they have to resort to underhanded tactics like this, to try to destroy their opponents.

It’s the worst sort of ugly politics, and I hope the voters of Nevada see through it."

Exactly. Well put.
