but I don't know what happened.

Basically this:

The ATF set Randy Weaver up on a bogus gun charge in order to get him to become an informant against some Aryan Nations goons. Weaver told the ATF to go stuff themselves.

So the ATF lied to a Federal Judge, the Prosecutor lied to Weaver about the date of a required Court appearance, and when Weaver didn't show up for a Court hearing he didn't know about they sent in the US Marshalls all camo'd up.

The Marshalls killed Weavers dog from concealment and when Weavers son returned fire killing one of the Marshalls one of them shot Weavers son in the back as he was running away.

A standoff ensued and an FBI sniper ended up shooting Weavers wife through the head as she was holding their infant child, killing her.

Weaver eventually surrendered and was charged with murder and conspiracy but was acquitted of all charges except the original Failure To Appear beef.

The FBI sniper was indicted by an Idaho Grand Jury for manslaughter but the charges were dropped because the Feds claimed Sovereign Immunity.

The Feds eventually settled for something around 3.5 million with Weaver but of course admitted no wrongdoing whatsoever.

Horiuchi is hopefully looking over his shoulder ever day for the rest of his miserable life.

Hate can be constructive in some cases; How can you have
love without hate?

About two years ago some genius at HS Precision printed on the back of their catalog an endorsement of their products by none than Lon Horiuchi. HS Precision makes parts and stocks for sniper rifles.

The resulting $hitstorm that erupted was incredible. Vendors that carried HS products were threatened with a boycott not to mention the threats against HS Precision.

Meanwhile, today, Lon supposedly works at Quantico training snipers.

It is like a pardon. If you accept the pardon it is implied you are guilty.

A lawyer friend of mine told me the pardon is also the last line of defense against an unjust conviction. Of course, we would never, ever have such a thing in today's lib-dominated judiciary.

But there are FReepers who remain complete and total believers in the doctrine of the Immaculate Conviction.

I'm guessing they're also publick-skewl grajewettes, brain-washed into believing that government can do some things absolutely perfectly.

Fools. America -- a great idea, didn't last.

I rarely take things out of context, being fanatical about reading the whole chapter when a verse is referenced. How is this out of context?

A federal court cleared Horiuchi to be tried, but the Boundary County Idaho prosecutor decided not to.

Again, wouldn't matter if he were put on trial or not he's incapable of dealing with the emotion.

He was adopted as I understand it, but not as a young infant. Kind of a charity case ~ but by that time he was probably a certifiable sociopath but with enough intelligence to do well in school and graduate from West Point.

You will notice he was not kept on as an officer.

I first met him when he was still a teenager. Others who've posted on him knew him as the FBI's favorite sniper ~ and I doubt that's based on an understanding that he didn't shoot people ~ he obviously enjoys his work.
