My sarcasm meter just went *past* the red zone! Are you trying to tell us that this is just ‘a coincidence’? Of course, it could be—but IS IT??
Yep. I well remember. I served on the Ohio and Mississippi way back in the 60s.
Semper Paratus!
I just read a report that oil was spilt...
No one was killed.
So watch Obama and Pelosi fire through the energy bill that will raise all of our electric bills twice over tomorrow and listen to the DU progressive communistic bloggers and shut down all drilling even though a judge told Obama yesterday he has no standing to order this...
I guess I should apologize. /S LOL
The block is Vermilion 380. I think the 398 is Mariner’s internal name for the platform.
Vermilion 398, another block entirely, doesn’t have Mariner involved in it.
“I truly believe they are out to destroy our country and way of life.”
Ditto.
From his interview with Brian Williams:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38907780/ns/nightly_news
“What Im focused on is making sure that the decisions were making now are going to be be not good for the nightly news. Not good even necessarily for the next election. But are good for the next generation. And Im very confident that those decisions are the ones that weve made.”
Honestly, I might not be suspicious if the judge hadn't slapped obama down for the second time.... just yesterday.
"Shhhhh! I'm putting!"
Either way, water depth is 381 feet, not 2,250’ as reported by media. I am looking at the scout tickets of the offsets to this well as we speak,
“All the time? Really?”
Yep.
I guarantee there is at least one well out of control somewhere on or off shore North America 24/7, 365 days a year.
There is a reason Boots & Coots had a big building and Rolls Royce for each of ‘em.
Being that CHAVEZ is now leasing (what 11?) of our oil rigs and Soros made money...I would not doubt anything at this stage of their communist game.
We may never be told all the answers, but no matter what people say, gut instinct is usually right.
For example - taking tests. Your first "gut answer" is usually correct. After it's thought about for awhile, the answer, if changed, is usually wrong. That's just how the subconscious mind works. It remembers everything you've ever seen, heard, felt, tasted, or smelled. Once the analytical mind takes over, it brings in it's own bias.
Now you're just talking crazy.
Has anyone seen my pitchfork?
O M G I feel bad that I laughed at that.
“What would make something like that explode?”
Oh, gee, maybe the natural gas under thousands of pounds of pressure, diesel engines running everywhere, sparks from welders, electric lights, the occassional moron with a cigarrette.
Well, I was trying to inflict blunt force trauma....
Are you trying to tell us that this is just a coincidence? Of course, it could bebut IS IT??
Well, I suppose it coulda been a Mega Piranha, making its way up to the Mississippi River....
martial law is on tap for Oct
Willie the difference between you and me is that I dont need to go to the Houston Chronicle, Ive laid pipeline in that field (although its been a few years). Its not 2,500 deep. That is a fixed platform, probably no more than 5-600 deep.
If the Chronicle is wrong, then they're wrong.
The difference is: sooner or later, they'll probably publish a corrected revision of this story.
So in the overall scheme of things, they still have more reliability than some anonymous screen name who claims to have personal experience in an Internet chat forum.
“What exactly is a blowout? Could you define for the rest of us?”
An uncontrolled flow of natural gas, water, oil, or a comination thereof.
Sometimes fire, sometimes not.
