Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer and her Republican opponent Carly Fiorina will square off Wednesday night in the only debate scheduled so far in a race that polls show is a toss up between the two women.
The hour-long event at St. Marys College in Moraga begins at 7 p.m. It will be televised on CBS affiliates up and down the state, including on KTTV in Los Angeles. The debate is being sponsored by the San Francisco Chronicle and KQED public radio and will be streamed live on both sponsors web sites. C-Span is also televising the forum.

Thank you!!
Which is doubtless why so many of the unprepared gravitate to the corridors of fantasy-world power, i.e., D.C., where they're all equally brain-dead and support for their policies is a built-in service of the national media, a.k.a. the Collectivist Propaganda Machine.
California seems to have a sort of hypnotic liberal effect on many who move there. I used to be proud that I was born there.
I’m surrounded by these nut-job liberals, but I’ll still be voting for Carly in November.
Until I see the REAL Long Form Vault BC, he's just "PRES__ENT" Obama = Without "ID"
Thank you also!!
Boxer has a degree from Brooklyn College, not an Ivy.
I believe she had a BA in Economics. Dabbled on Wall Street or some such.
She’s a New Yorker who transplanted herself upon California.
Please, don’t call her “Madam”. Call her “ex-Senator”. She has worked so hard to earn it.
LOL, May the fruit of her work get the scrutiny it deserves.
Don’t forget the “Firearm Owner’s Protection Act,” which contained the Hughes Amendment; I’m sure you all know that contained the cut-off date for new full-auto firearms that could be sold to the public.
Remember that the average CA voter has elected this lightweight a number of times. They are not that smart and will vote for whoever hands out (or promises to hand out) the goodies. They don't analyze the way you do and they don't even notice the evasions.
The media in an earlier day would call her on not answering the question asked. The media today breathe a sigh of relief when she doesn't answer the question asked. So it's totally up to the opponent to nail her when the media give her the free ride and if the media give the opponent a window to do so.
There is practically no doubt that they did. Once you have been in that office for 18 years there are personal connections between the senator's staff and the media that are baked into the system. As a left-wing media person, are you going to potentially torpedo the career of you left-wing Boxer-aide friend who lives a couple of blocks away in another $1.5M home in Noe Valley? No way.
You are correct, every miserable talking head is a wannabee Commie who forget why they live in La Jolla/Pacific Heights/Palo Alto or Beverly Hills...Capitalism.
There are a lot of us, too, believe it or not. The Libs just own the microphone.
You have my sympathy. It’s difficult enough to be around just one!
I really think Fiorina did quite well. She absolutely flamed Boxer on a number of points.
What a dichotomy in questions - they don’t even bother to try to hide the bias anymore.
It’s astonishingly biased.
complete non sequitur.
