MLK the new hero of both the left and right. Our nation has been completely transformed in less than 45 years.
America - RIP
I know...this MLK worship lately is turning my stomach.
The one on the right looks like a minaret.
can't tell what the one on the left is, although it could be a post 9-11 WTC painting. (For some reason I doubt it)
The bust of Churchill was removed - and sent back to the UK - on January 20th. 2009.
Wonder if The Constitution is in there?
Why is this so difficult to understand?
1. Kenya was known as "British East Africa" under colonial rule.
2. Churchill was the Prime Minister of Great Britain when British troops crushed the Mau Mau Rebellion (1952 - 1960), which eventually led to the end of colonial rule and the creation of Kenya.
3. Communists and Socialists used the Mau Mau to push their leftest, statest, totalitarian agenda, in the name of social justice.
4. Obama was born in Kenya.
5. Obama is a communist.
6. Therefore, Obama hates Great Britain and Churchill because he sees them as colonial oppressors of the communist insurgence.
At least it isn’t a bust of Malcolm X.
“The welfare of each of us is dependent fundamentally on the welfare of all of us.”
—Now he’s even got the collectivist ideology woven into the carpets.
The welfare of each of us is dependent fundamentally upon the welfare of all of us, and therefore in public life that man is the best representative of each of us who seeks to do good to each by doing good to all; in other words, whose endeavor it is not to represent any special class and promote merely that class's selfish interests, but to represent all true and honest men of all sections and all classes and to work for their interests by working for our common country.
Roosevelt goes on to warn against thinking of people by what group they are a part of, which is exactly the way Democrats look at people: A healthy republican government must rest upon individuals, not upon classes or sections. As soon as it becomes government by a class or by a section, it departs from the old American ideal.
TR then talks about how favoring one class over another has been the doom of past republics: The outcome was equally fatal, whether the country fell into the hands of a wealthy oligarchy which exploited the poor or whether it fell under the domination of a turbulent mob which plundered the rich.
There were a couple of other quotes that Obama, whom I am sure has not read the entire speech, should note: There is no worse enemy of the wage-worker than the man who condones mob violence in any shape or who preaches class hatred There is no room in our healthy American life for the mere idler, for the man or the woman whose object it is throughout life to shirk the duties which life ought to bring. Of course, that last one pretty much defines the core Democrat constituency.
Finally, Teddy ends with this: Finally, we must keep ever in mind that a republic such as ours can exist only by virtue of the orderly liberty which comes through the equal domination of the law over all men alike, and through its administration in such resolute and fearless fashion as shall teach all that no man is above it and no man below it.
Replace the image of a man who helped defeat fascism with a communist.
Predictable.
King probably was a Republican in registration only. He supported JFK and LBJ and was strongly opposed to Goldwater. Towards the end of his life he denounced the Vietnam war and was a strong supporter of labor unions and socialism. He was in Memphis to support labor unions on strike when he was killed.
Post of the Thread Award!
I understand there is adjoining room where Keith Olbermann and Jon Stewart perform Obama’s ablutions.
Then we can really redue the place...
Churchill out, King Lincoln, TR, and Martin Luther King, Jr. in. How did they manage to leave out FDR and LBJ?
“Why is this so difficult to understand”?
...I never said it was “difficult to understand”. I said it was “another slap in the face to our allies”, which it is. At this point, we’re headed toward making Great Britain just as much of an enemy as Iran.
They could have done better for 2 million. This lovely room now looks cheesy...nuthin’ special.
Well, at least Manchelle didn't choose the black liberation colors of red/black, the colors of the dress she wore in Chicago post-inaugeration.
We're in a deep recession and they decorate.
They wallpapered the doors!
I totally agree! I'm no interior decorator but, I got rid of the coffee table years ago and went to a sofa table. More open space. And gold lame looking drapes? UGH!
