Police identify alleged gunman in shooting of LDS bishop...
[Police] say Kenneth James Ward, 47, shot Bishop Clay Sanner, 40, before Ward was killed in a shootout with police.
Ward is from the Modesto, Calif. area, and at one time had family living in the Visalia area. But police said they still don't know why he went to Visalia and shot Sannar.
Visalia is 130 miles from Modesto. If the perp drove from Modesto that for the specific pupose of shooting the victim or even any leader at that church, the rest of the story could be very interesting.

Visalia police identified the man who they say shot and killed Sannar on Monday morning. He is identified as 47-year-old Kenneth James Ward of Modesto, Calif.
