Wait a minute. Didn't that murderer's Mormon baptism take?
If it didn't take, then how are we to know if a Mormon proxy baptism will "take" on the other side?
What if Mormons proxy baptize a dead murderer? Which trumps what -- the act of murder or the baptism? (And if you say, Saundra, the baptism, then this murderer was obviously still a baptized Mormon when he committed murder)
Hi Colofornian,
Baptism only benefits anyone if it is done in the proper spirit “without hypocrisy and without guile”
And it is possible for to fall from Grace after being baptized.
As far as baptism for the dead is concerned, it is a gift we offer to someone who has died — but it is up to them whether they accept it or not.

Normandy
I thought I read in the paper that the killer had demanded that his name be removed from the roles of the Church. Not sure what that has to do with anything, though.
A wonderful innocent Bishop is dead, leaving behind a grieving wife and six boys, and a devastated community.
The killer’s family is in our prayers, too, as they are also grieving and hurting.
What point are you trying to make?
Does he then lose his baptism?
What about all those people he was dead dunked for, do they have to be re dead dunked.
I mean did everything he did before this horrible act become void.
It is so complicated when you teach you are responsible for an others sin and you have to work for salvation.
