Beck was a Catholic; a member of the True Church and he turned his back to join a cult.

So tragically sad.

Please.

Jesus Christ was born, lived and died on the cross as a "Jew". Those that follow His teachings and believe in Christ and God the Creator do not belong to one specific "church".

The Catholic church is not, nor has it ever been, the True Church (There...how do you like it?).

My impression, maybe mistaken, is that Glen and Tanya thought the Mormons really DID their religion, in their strong caring for one another and general preparedness.

I am a Catholic (in case you didn't make it to my tag line) and I think that we Catholics need to think long and hard about our everyday witness. I don't blame Glen. I don't blame the Mormons. I blame me.

We must all decide if a civil society is God’s Will. . .if we agree that it is God’s will that America should be a civil society. . .then ANYONE who is working toward that end is doing God’s will. There is no question in my mind that Beck was used by God in a mighty way today. . .don’t limit what God can do, even through sinners. . .remember, some of the first people to be lead to the feet of Christ. . were neither Jew nor Christian. . .were probably Zoroastrians from the East. . the wise men. . yet they were able to divine the presence of Christ. . .God is bigger. . .even bigger than your doctrine about him.

The true church is not a name, it is comprised of all born-again believers in Jesus Christ. She is called the “bride of Christ.”

One of the Christian pastors who spoke at the rally mentioned Romans 8:28 (noting the coincidence with today's date)

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Catholics, Protestants, Jews, and others all stood together with Glenn Beck today.

They chose not to focus on religious differences, but on the things we have in common. I think we can learn something from them.

So tragically sad.

What's tragically sa dt is you bashers of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter day Saints.

Your pontificating, judgmental, holier than thou condemnation based on your misguided belief in your omnipotent knowledge is what is NOT CHRISTIAN.

That said - name ONE un-Christian, un-Jesus thing or word that Beck said or did today?

Truth is truth. Good works are good works.

Its too bad that God did not use a true blue christian like you to speak of religious rebirth in this country...you could have gotten so many more people there....I get tired of the hate Glenn Beck crowd that judges him all the time. By your judgments you will also be judged...Hope your sinless.

The bible says God can raise up believers from the stones on the ground.....he wasn't too much on judging the sinners only the self righteous of his day that looked down upon the others....be careful with your comments about others if your going to use religion...

The Bible says to “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” I have heard Beck, on several occasions, confess that. Are you saying that if a person believes that but belongs to a different organization then you do that the Bible is “null and void”?

So, he started out a catholic, became saved by grace, and then became a catholic again?
