I’m wondering what Chris Matthews would do if someone invited him to come to a rally and see for himself what happens? He’s so prejudiced; but I wonder if he would show up?

Maybe a black person who goes to “Tea Party” rallies regularly and is friendly to the cause, could invite him (or dare him)to attend one. He could see that there are a number of non-whites who are gladly involved, and fondly received there! Maybe he would get a different point of view, who knows?

Liberals have an amazing capacity to deny what their own eyes might tell them -- if it conflicts with their religious beliefs (and liberalism IS a religion).

Facts to the contrary are not facts. A conflicting truth is not a truth.

They are ignorant of their own ignorance.

So, no. Chris Matthews would see things no differently -- even if he were physically exposed to reality.

Herman Cain (black conservative business guru and talk radio host here in Atl) did just that on one of his shows a few months back. He has spoken at dozens of tea parties and never saw any signs of racism and he dared the folks at the NAACP to come to a tea party rally to see for themselves.

The response was (*crickets*)

He would never go. He barely lets anyone speak, if they disagree with him.
